POTION OF LOVE

7. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫

Taking a deep breath I enter the building being welcomed by a large spacious lobby. The tall ceiling and polished floor shine due to the bright lights around. People in business attire walking around doing their assigned work. Most of the employees are dressed in their own designed clothes

A few sections under NYX don't have a dress code but require appropriate attire

Without wasting my time I make my way to the elevator and enter it along with others. It's spacious enough to fit more than 10 people and the clear glass gives the view of other floors as we go up. A few employees exit on their respective floors whereas I have to wait until I get to the main office

After university, I have decided to come to visit Liam. It's the day when our whole family has dinner together. Liam wasn't able to come last time due to the new launch NYX is planning

It's his first launch as the official CEO and knowing Liam I know he wouldn't want a single mistake

As the elevator stops the door slides open revealing the executive floor. Where the CEO, CFO and other important members stay. I have come here many times to visit Mom but this is the first time I am coming to meet Liam here

I start walking towards the cabin, a few employees glance at me but only the old ones pass me a greeting. Not everyone here knows about me being one of the Williams. I would be grateful if it forever stays that way

I walk over to the reception desk where Liam's assistant is working. His head down into the computer, I open my mouth to grab his attention only to realise I forgot his name

Damnit

I only met him once and long back, the meeting was like a breeze that I couldn't catch up with his name. Taking a deep breath I prepare myself for some formalities "Hey-" before I can complete he looks up and blinks in surprise

"Oh Mr Williams," he says while standing up "Welcome, how can I help you?" He speaks in his usual professional tone.

I clear my throat, the addressing me by Mr. Williams is something I could never get used to. "I wanted to pay my brother a visit, is he free?"

He nods "Yeah, he is with a friend but you can directly go in" He informs and gestures towards the door. I nod in acknowledgement "Okay, thank you" I say to him before striding towards the door

Friend? Who might that be?

Liam is only close with three people. Adam has been Liam's friend since childhood and he also happens to be Loren's older brother. And generally, both older brothers are friends which resulted in our friendship.

Next is Ian, who was Liam's junior if I remember. Ian also works under NYX but at a different branch and if I am not wrong he recently got married to Zuri. I know about them but they are our family friends, their past relationships, and conflicts happened in front of Liam and me. Yet they resolved everything and are happy together. Zuri also works here
