He left the room and I did as he asked, I cleaned up the blood, but I did not throw away the blades. I placed them back into their box and shoved them back into my dresser drawer. The fact that my father knew I cut and didn't care bothered me. It seems like he would at least asked why I did it or asked me to stop hurting myself, but still it wouldn't matter because he'd be hurting me in physical and mental ways anyway.
I ran downstairs to see my sisters, Kaelynn, Becca, and Alex already cleaning up.
"Stop you guys, I can finish cleaning up. After all, I am the one who made the mess," I said.
"True," Kaelynn said. "Well, see ya later! I'm going over to Valerie's," she started towards the door, but looked back to see that Becca and Alex were not following her. "Come on you guys," she said. "Let Analise finish cleaning up her mess." They followed her to the door then looked back at me once again. I could see they wanted to help, but Kaelynn refused to let them. She hated me and wanted them to hate me too. It killed me to see Becca and Alex being dictated by her, but I had to let them go.
I got on my knees and picked up all the shattered bottles my father had broke. It took so much self control to not pick up a piece of the glass and slice myself with it. Once I got the glass taken care of I moved onto the blood stained floors. I scrubbed and scrubbed, trying to get my blood out of the carpet. The blood was finally nothing more than a figure of my imagination. There was nothing left, not even a spot. I was so tired of cleaning up these bloody messes. It was the new normal and honestly, I wasn't very fond of it. I needed to get out of here for a while, so I left. Off the the waterfall I went.
