Harper

"Flower?"

I looked up, seeing the one person I never thought I would see again. I stood up on shaky legs, my body going cold.

I can't do this. I can't see him right now.

Before he could say anything else I pivoted around him, looking back to see him turn with a confused face. I weaved my way through the crowd as I heard him say my name.

No. No. No.

Where is Mari?

I kept pushing my way to the bar until I could see her in the distance.

"Mari." I pulled on her arm once I reached her, looking back to see him trying to push his way through the crowd. But with him being bigger than me and famous it took him longer than me.

I still have a chance to get out of here.

"Mari."

"What?" She turned with a slightly annoyed look but when she saw my face hers softened. "What's wrong?"

"We need to leave."

"What do you mean leave? We haven't been here long." She gestured to Will, giving me a look to say that she wanted to stay because of him. I looked behind me to see him getting closer.

"Mari, please." I begged her with my eyes and hers softened even more.

"Okay, okay. Let me say goodbye."

"Quickly." I breathed out in a panic. She took my hand with concern before turning to say goodbye to Will. I was a jittering mess, on the verge of a panic attack. Right as she turned and told me we could go I felt someone behind me and fingers touch my elbow.

"Harper." I looked to Mari with panic, but she only looked behind me with delighted surprise.

"Oh my god-" I pushed her back, towards the exit.

"Harper, what are you doing?"

"Please, we need to go."

"Yeah I heard you, but isn't that-" I kept pushing her, making her walk backwards.

"I don't care, we need to leave." She kept trying to protest but I kept pushing. Hoping and praying he would get sucked into the crowd.

But I guess the universe hates me, because the exact opposite happened.

The second we got outside I felt a hand grab my wrist before I could make it down the road and out of sight. I was pulled back lightly and I spun on my heel to see Harry looking at me with confusion. And was that hurt? Why would he look hurt?

"Harper." He breathed out my name in a way that seemed like he hasn't said my name in the past five years. Like he forgot how to say my name.

"What are you-?" I ripped my hand out of his grip, crossing my arms across my chest. I took a step back, and then another until I bumped into Mari. I felt her hand on my arm.

"I can't." I shook my head at him, tears welling in my eyes.

"Harper, please."

"I can't, Harry." I turned on my heel, grabbed Mari's hand and walked off, her following close behind.

"Harper!" I heard him call out my name but I kept my head forward and held high. I kept walking, I walked to where we parked my car in silence. I got in silent. I started the car silent. I made it down of the parking lot and on the street before a single tear rolled down my face.
