3rd Person POV:

"I'm not coming out!"

"Stevie, you finally got a job and it requires a uniform," Wendy groaned from her spot at the bottom of the stairs. She placed her hands on her hips. "I'm gonna see you in it and laugh at you one way or another. Either you come out here now, or I see you your first day and make fun of you there in public."

Wendy heard Steve groan then heard his stomps as he came out of his room. As soon as Steve made himself visible, he avoided looking at her. When he didn't hear anything, he looked down the stairs and saw Wendy standing there with her hands covering her mouth.

"You get one pass," Steve said sternly. He opened his arms and slowly spun around, showing off his sailor uniform. "Go ahead."

"You look so stupid!" Wendy shouted, not containing her laughter anymore.

"That's your one," Steve said, turning and walking away.

"Hey, wait!" Wendy called out, racing up the stairs after him. "I thought it had a hat!"

"No, it doesn't!" Steve denied.

"Yes, it does!" Wendy said, quickly pushing past him to go into his room. She looked around his bed to find the hat. "I know it does! You're a sailor and sailors have hats!"

"Get out!" Steve shouted.

"Aha!" Wendy cried out in triumph, holding the sailor hat up.

"Give it–" Steve reached for it but Wendy ducked out of his way.

"Put it on!" Wendy said, avoiding Steve's advances. "You have to complete the uniform!"

"I will murder you," Steve grunted, reaching for the hat again.

"An attempt was made by bad men and a demogorgon, they failed," Wendy said simply. "Oh look! It says 'ahoy!'"

"Yeah, I know what it says, give it!" Steve finally snatched the hat from her fingers.

"Put it on, please!?" Wendy begged. "I won't laugh!"

"Yes you will," Steve rolled his eyes.

"I won't say you look stupid!" Wendy tried again. "Please please please!?

Steve sighed, knowing she wouldn't give up, and reluctantly put on the sailor hat. He stood there as Wendy laughed again, a wheeze managing to escape her chest.

Steve looked at Wendy in surprise, reaching out to stabilize her as she swayed in her uncontrollable laughter. Steve couldn't help but laugh at her laugh.

"Are you okay?" Steve asked, Wendy leaning heavily against him as another wheeze escaped. "That sounded painful."

Wendy muttered something through her laughs, her face pressed against Steve's chest.

"What are you saying?" Steve asked, pushing her head away from him so he could hear her clearly.

"You look so stupid," Wendy squeaked, tears running down her face.

"I'm glad my torture amuses you," Steve grunted.

"I need to show Max," Wendy calmed down enough to regain her balance.

"I'm not going to Hargrove's place and you are not bringing her here," Steve said. If Billy saw him like this, in his own house, he just might run away into the woods and join Hopper and El.

"S-stay here," Wendy clumsily patted Steve's face, stumbling out of Steve's room while giggling to herself.

Steve itched his neck, the shirt tag scratching at his skin uncomfortably, before he heard a camera shutter and a flash briefly blinding him.
