3rd Person POV:

"Okay, you got the candy?" Steve asked.

"Yes," Wendy nodded, looking through the bag of snacks.

"Alright," Steve hummed, pondering if he missed anything. "What about the Fun Dip? You said before that she likes those."

"Way ahead of you," Wendy waved him off.

Steve pulled into the trailer park, parking in front of Max's. Before Wendy could hop out of the car, Steve stopped her.

"I will be back at 8 o'clock, you better be out here by 7:59 or I'm honking the horn until the neighbors threaten to call the cops," Steve said.

"Alright, alright!" Wendy fussed, wanting to get out of the car but Steve stopped her again. "God, Stevie! I know! I know! Hands to ourselves, don't do anything you would've done, blah blah blah! Can I go now?"

"I was just gonna say to have fun," Steve chuckled. He let her go and Wendy practically flew out of the car, holding her bag of snacks tightly.

Just before Wendy could knock on the front door, a honk startled her, and she turned around, seeing Steve poking his head out the window with a teasing look.

"What?!" Wendy asked.

"'Thank you Stevie for driving–'"

"Thank you Stevie for driving me! Now leave!" Wendy groaned, waving her hands in a shooing motion. "You're such a loser, god!"

"You're welcome!" Steve hummed.

Steve finally drove away from the trailer and Wendy sighed, turning around and seeing Max in the open doorway with an amused smirk. They just stared at each other, Max looking amused still and Wendy looking awkward. Wendy made it a pattern to knock on the front door and hold up the bag of snacks and not being able to do it felt just downright wrong.

"Want me to close the door so you could do the thing?" Max asked knowingly.

"Yes, please.." Wendy muttered.

Max chuckled and closed the door, waiting on the other side with a smile. Wendy cleared her throat and shook off the nerves. She knocked on the door and held up the bag of snacks when Max opened the door.

"Oh wow, didn't know you were there," Max joked, opening the door wider for Wendy to enter.

"Yes, you did," Wendy muttered, going to the living room. "What movie did you pick this time?"

"Mom finally let me get Sleepaway Camp," Max gushed, holding up the VHS tape. "Robin even managed to hook me up with a discount."

"Cool," Wendy hummed, sorting out the snacks. Fun Dip, various types of Hersey's candies in fun size and king size, and a few boxes of Nerds.

Max put in the movie and sat next to Wendy on the couch. As so, the two of them watched the horror movie, commenting on the kills and the practical effects, even throwing in their thoughts that Dustin should see this movie to scare him from going to camp.

When the movie was over, the two of them just talked about random stuff until it was close to 8 o'clock. It just then occurred to Wendy that it's been about three months since their first date, was there a label for them now? Were they girlfriends? Or did Wendy have to ask? Or is Max going to ask?

"Wendy, hey," Max waved her hand in front of Wendy's face. "You okay? You just spaced out on me there.."

"Oh, I'm fine," Wendy blinked several times. She panicked a little, not wanting to make Max uncomfortable with her thoughts right now. "Kiss?"
