The days that followed their heartfelt conversation in the park were different for both Nunew and Zee. He raised his hand to knock, hesitating for a brief moment before letting his knuckles rap softly against the door. The sound echoed in the quiet hallway, and Nunew felt a flutter of nerves as he waited for a response.

A few seconds later, the door swung open to reveal Zee, dressed casually in a fitted t-shirt and sweatpants, his hair slightly tousled as if he'd been lounging on the couch. His eyes lit up with surprise and delight when he saw Nunew standing there.

"Nunew," Zee greeted, his voice warm and inviting. "I wasn't expecting you, but I'm really glad you're here. Come in."

Nunew felt a wave of relief wash over him at Zee's welcoming smile. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything," he said as he stepped inside, taking in the cozy atmosphere of Zee's apartment. It was neat and tidy, with personal touches that made it feel like a home-framed photos on the walls, a bookshelf filled with novels, and a soft blanket draped over the arm of the couch.

"Not at all," Zee assured him, closing the door behind them. "I was just relaxing. But I'd much rather spend time with you."

Nunew smiled at that, feeling a warmth spread through his chest. He followed Zee into the living room, where the soft glow of a lamp illuminated the space. Zee gestured for him to sit on the couch, and Nunew settled down, feeling oddly at ease despite his earlier nerves.

Zee took a seat beside him, not too close, but close enough that Nunew could feel the heat radiating from his body. "So, what brings you here?" Zee asked, his tone light and curious.

Nunew hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to express what he was feeling. He had never been great with words when it came to matters of the heart, but he knew he needed to try.

"I just... wanted to see you," Nunew admitted, his voice soft but sincere. "I was thinking about our conversation the other night, and... I don't know, I just felt like I needed to be here with you."

Zee's expression softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Nunew's knee, a gentle, reassuring touch. "I'm glad you came," he said, his voice low and soothing. "I've been thinking about you a lot too."

The admission made Nunew's heart flutter, and he found himself leaning into Zee's touch, craving the comfort and connection that it offered. "I'm still figuring all of this out," Nunew confessed, his gaze dropping to where Zee's hand rested on his knee. "But being around you... it makes things clearer. It makes me want to try, even if it's scary."
