The days seemed to pass more quickly now, as if time itself was moving in anticipation of the new life growing inside Nunew. Every moment felt a little more precious, and with the baby on the way, both Zee and Nunew found themselves thinking about their future more than ever. But amidst all the excitement and changes, there was one upcoming event that remained just as important—Zee and Nunew’s dating anniversary.

It was just a few days away, and Zee had been thinking about it quietly. He knew this year’s anniversary would be different, with Nunew now carrying their pup. But that only made it more special. Zee wanted to make sure that even in the middle of all their preparations for the baby, they still took a moment to celebrate the love that had brought them together in the first place.

Sitting on the couch one evening, Nunew was flipping through his phone when he suddenly realized the date. His eyes widened as he glanced at the calendar, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

“Hia,” he called out, looking up from his phone.

Zee, who was working on something at the table, turned to face him, curious. “What’s up, Nuh?”

Nunew smiled a little wider, his gaze softening. “Our anniversary is coming up in just a few days… can you believe it?”

Zee paused, a warm smile spreading across his face as he walked over to join Nunew on the couch. He sat down beside him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. “I know. I’ve been thinking about it, too. It feels like just yesterday we were starting out, doesn’t it?”

Nunew nodded, leaning into Zee’s embrace. “Yeah… so much has happened since then. And now we’ve got a little one on the way.” He placed his hand over his belly, smiling softly as he spoke. “It feels like everything’s falling into place.”

Zee’s gaze followed Nunew’s hand, his heart swelling at the sight of the small bump that carried their future. “It really does. But I want to make sure we don’t forget to celebrate us, Nuh. This anniversary is just as important, maybe even more now.”

Nunew’s eyes sparkled as he looked up at Zee. “You’re right, Hia. We should do something special.”

Zee chuckled softly. “I’ve actually been planning a little something. Nothing too crazy—just a quiet evening, the two of us. I was thinking we could take a walk in the garden, have a nice dinner, and just… spend time together.”

Nunew’s heart warmed at the thought. “That sounds perfect. Honestly, I don’t need anything extravagant. Just being with you is more than enough.”

Zee pressed a gentle kiss to Nunew’s temple, his voice soft. “You know I’d do anything to make you happy, right?”

“I know, Hia,” Nunew replied, his hand sliding into Zee’s. “And you already do. I’m just lucky to have you.”

Zee smiled, pulling Nunew closer to him. “I’m the lucky one, Nuh. You’ve given me everything I could ever want—a life full of love, and now, we’re building a family together.”

Nunew blushed, his fingers intertwining with Zee’s. “It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come… and how much further we have to go. But I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.”

For a few moments, they sat in comfortable silence, enjoying the closeness between them. The thought of their anniversary now lingered in the air, and both of them were excited for what was to come. It wasn’t just about celebrating another year together—it was about honoring the foundation they had built, the love that had sustained them through everything, and the future they were creating together.

As the evening settled in around them, Nunew’s voice broke the silence once more. “Do you remember our first date?”

Zee grinned at the memory. “Of course. How could I forget? You were so nervous, you kept fidgeting with your napkin the whole time.”

Nunew laughed softly. “I couldn’t help it! I didn’t want to mess things up.”

Zee leaned in, kissing him softly. “You couldn’t have messed it up even if you tried. I was already head over heels for you.”

Nunew’s cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink as he gazed up at Zee. “And now look at us… getting ready to celebrate our anniversary with a baby on the way.”

Zee’s hand moved to rest on Nunew’s belly, his expression tender. “It’s a dream come true, Nuh.”

They both sat back, their hearts full, as they looked forward to the days ahead. Their anniversary wasn’t just about their past—it was a promise for the future, a future that would be filled with love, family, and everything they had ever dreamed of.
