A tall skinny orange boy was walking down the halls of Crystal Prep with his all blue friend.

"Hey, Cheese." the blue guy said. "How you've been feeling, lately?"

Cheese let out a heavy sigh as he tightened the gray hair tie that was holding back the brown curls on his head. "As miserable as always, Soarin."

"Hmm." Soarin mused as they rounded a corner. He wanted to help his friend feel better, he just didn't know how.

As soon as they got to Study Hall and sat down, the voice of Principal Cinch came over the loudspeaker. "Attention students, tomorrow we will be going to Canterlot High for a joint party and to announce who'll be competing in the triathlon portion of Friendship Games. That is all."

Cheese sighed. He didn't want to participate in the games but Cinch insisted he did, espically after seeing his roller skating skills. Cheese, himself, was surprised he could even do it, anymore.

"You ok, Cheese?" Soarin asked, even though he already knew the answer.

"I really don't wanna compete." Cheese replied as he put his head on his desk.

"Then don't." Soarin suggested as he rubbed his friend's back.

"Cinch is forcing me to." Cheese said as he turned his head so that his nose wasn't touching the desk. "Also, why does it have to be a party?"

"What?" Soarin asked in confusion as he took his hand off Cheese's back.

"The thing at Canterlot High, tomorrow." Cheese replied as he took his head off the desk. "Why does it have ta be a party?"

"Well, I heard Canterlot High has an amazing party planner." Soarin replied as he rubbed the back of his neck. "So, maybe that's why?"

"So, they're throwing a party just to show off?" Cheese asked.

"Probably, not." Soarin replied just as the bell rang. "Anyways, see tomorrow. And don't worry. I'm sure tomorrow will be better."

"For everyone but me." Cheese said as both and Soarin stood up and walked out of Study Hall.

They both walked out of school without saying a word. Once they were outside, Cheese walked over to his bright yellow car got in it and waited for his brother.

"Hey, Cheese." a red-orange boy said as he tried to keep the wind from playing with his dark blonde hair. Much like Cheese, this boy also had green eyes. "Thanks for waiting."

"Asiago, you know as well as I that dad would throw a fit if I didn't." Cheese deadpanned. "Just get in."

Asiago shrugged as he got in his brother's car.

                                               Cheese then drove them home.
