"Soarin, you wouldn't believe what happen last night and this morning." Cheese exclaimed as the bus drove to Canterlot High.

"Well, tell me." Soarin insisted as Cheese cleared his throat.

"My dad apologized to me last night and now he's being nice." Cheese revealed.

Soarin raised an eyebrow. "Seriously? And you believe him?"

"He meant it, Soarin." Cheese replied. "I can tell."

Soarin rolled his eyes. "Hey, I've got a question."

"What is it?" Cheese asked, curiously as he pulled out his notebook and began writing in it.

"What is going between you and Pinkie?" Soarin asked. "Please, tell me."

"She's helping me relearn how to use my powers." Cheese replied, without looking up from what he was writing.

"Is that all?" Soarin asked, curiously.

Cheese put his notebook away and smiled. "Yep."

Soarin shrugged. "If you say so."

Cheese nodded just as the bus pulled up to it's destination. "We're here." he screamed as he stood up. However, he stood a little to fast and hit his head.

Soarin noticed and winced. "You ok?"

"Of course." Cheese replied, rubbing his head. "I'm gonna go find, Pinkie."

Everyone got off the bus and just like yesterday, Pinkie was waiting for Cheese. To her surprise, he came running and hugged her.

"Missed ya, Miss Pie." Cheese said as he took in the sweet smell of her hair.

"I uh, missed you too." Pinkie replied as she hugged back.

The girl known as Lemon Zest approached them. "Come on, Cheese."

"Huh?" Cheese said as he let go of Pinkie. "Oh. Hey, Lemon."

"Don't 'hey' me." Lemon snapped. "We gotta go get ready for the race."

"Ok." Cheese said as he started to follow Lemon. He turned and waved. "Good luck, Pinkie."

Pinkie smiled and waved back. "You too, Cheesie." She watched him and Lemon walk away. She also didn't Rarity approach.

"You ready, daring?" Rarity asked as she tapped on Pinkie's shoulder.

Pinkie blushed and quickly turned around. "Yep. Sure am."

"Alright, let's go." Rarity said as she and Pinkie walked into the Canterlot High all the way to the locker room.

"Oh, Rarity." Pinkie said as she went into a changing area. "I can't until you see Cheesie's skating skills. He's amazing."

"So are you, darling." Rarity said as she entered the changing area next to Pinkie's.

"I know, I know." Pinkie agreed. "But he's super good, to."

"While I'm glad you have a new friend but we need to focus on the games." Rarity suggested as she exited the changing area.

"He's not a 'new' friend." Pinkie corrected as she came as well. "I've known him since him and I were kids."

                                                     Rarity's eyes widened. "Oh, really."

Pinkie glared at Rarity. "Don't even go there. We're friends, nothing more." For some reason, it hurt Pinkie to say but she didn't know why. It was the truth. Pinkie shrugged. She decided not to focus on such things. Right now, she had to focus on finishing the games.

While, Rarity and Pinkie were getting ready, so were Lemon and Cheese. Since Lemon was a girl, Cheese had to get ready, all by himself.

Cheese sighed as he entered the changing area. He wondered what Pinkie will wear for the race, since Canterlot High didn't have uniforms. "Woah, why am I thinking about that? She's my friend." Cheese ignored what he'd just said. He couldn't stop himself from seeing Pinkie as more than what she was. "She's my friend." He repeated as he got out of the locker room and joined up with Lemon before they went to the track.
