The next morning after Cheese, Soarin and the rest of Crystal Prep got on the bus in order to get to Canterlot High. "So, how was your evening?" Soarin asked.

"Awful, just awful." Cheese replied as he shifted in his seat. He and Soarin were seating in the very back seat. "My dad said I'm no longer allowed to write music at the table."

"That's dumb." Soarin commented, fidgeting with the buttons on his jacket. "I bet he'd let your brother."

"You're absolutely correct." Cheese said as he stared out the window.

"Wow." Soarin said, following Cheese's lead.

"I'm just so mad." Cheese admitted. "I could just." He started. However, he was cut off by the sound of a balloon, deflating.

Soarin's eyes went wide when he saw Cheese's hair and couldn't help but stare at it in confusion.

Cheese noticed and raised an eyebrow. "Uh, Soarin. Why are ya staring at me?"

"Your hair straightened, by itself." Soarin replied in disbelief as he pointed at his friend's hair.

"That's not possible." Cheese said as he rolled his eyes. How could hair even do that?

"I'm telling the truth, Cheese." Soarin exclaimed as he pulled out his phone, opened it's camera, put in selfie mode and pointed at Cheese. "See?"

Cheese's eyes went wide as he stared in disbelief. "Wha, what happened?"

"I don't know." Soarin replied. "You got angry and then all of a sudden that happened."

Cheese shook his head in utter disbelief. "That doesn't make any sense."

"Has it ever done that, before?" Soarin asked, curiously as he put his phone back in his pocket.

"No, never." Cheese replied as the bus came to a stop. "Let's not worry about it, right now."

"Ya sure?" Soarin asked as their students started getting off the bus. "I mean people are gonna notice."

"Ugh, just ignore it." Cheese said in annoyance as he stood up and walked to the front of the bus.

"Cheese, I'm sorry." Soarin assured as he got up and followed his friend. "I didn't mean to upset you."

"Good." Cheese said as he got off the bus. "Don't do it, again."

                                                     Soarin gulped. "I won't."

They then followed their principal and classmates into Canterlot High.

"Cheese, where ya going?" Soarin asked as he noticed that Cheese was walking away.

"To get some punch." Cheese replied. "That ok with you?"

"Yep." Soarin replied, quickly as he walked over to a group of students. "I'm gonna socialize."

Cheese rolled his eyes. "You do that."

On the other side of the gym, a pink girl was watching the exchange. Her eyes followed the tall, skinny orange boy as he walked over to the punch bowl. Who are you? she wondered as she made her way towards him. "Hi."

Cheese turned around slowly, only to see a pink girl standing there. "Um, hi."

"My name's Pinkie Pie." Pinkie said as she held out her hand. "What's yours?"

Cheese swallowed. "Uh, Cheese. Cheese Sandwich."

Pinkie looked down at her hand and then back up at him. "Well, shake."

"Huh?" Cheese said in confusion as he looked down at her hand. Without thinking, he shook it.

"That's better." Pinkie said as looked at him, closely. "Hmm. Is your hair normally, straight?"

Cheese shook his head. "That happened on the way, here."

"I knew it." Pinkie exclaimed, much to Cheese's confusion.

"What do you mean?" Cheese asked, nervously. Unsure as to why this random girl was so interested in him.

"You're like me." Pinkie replied as she pulled a cookie out of her hair and ate it.

Cheese gagged at the sight. "Do you always do that?"

"Whenever I'm feeling a bit peckish, yes." Pinkie replied, licking crumbs off her face.

"What did you mean by 'like you'?" Cheese asked curiously as he shifted a little.

"I'm the party planner of CHS." Pinkie replied, happily. "And you're a party planner, as well."

"How do you know that?" Cheese asked in confusion. "You're not making any sense. Just leave me alone." He then took his punch and started to walk away.

"I just wanted to help you." Pinkie said as tears started to form in her eyes. "I don't wanna see a fellow party planner, permantly break."

"Break?" Cheese repeated in confusion as he turned back towards her. "What's that mean?"

"If a party planner breaks, then they lose the ability to feel emotion. Not to mention, lose their powers." Pinkie explained as her hair straightened on it's own. "Please, let me help."

Cheese's eyes went wide. "Your, your hair it did what mine did."

Pinkie looked up at her now straight pink hair and then back at him. "I told you, you're like me."

"If what you say is true? Then if I get back powers back will I be happier?" Cheese asked, curiously.

Pinkie looked him straight in the eyes and nodded.

"Then in that case, help me get my powers back." Cheese said as he tried to smile but failed.

His attempt at smiling while in such a state made Pinkie giggle a little.

"Looks like I found a good place to start." Pinkie said.

For the remainder of the party, Pinkie did all she could to help her fellow party planner.
