Aayra

I wasn’t sure what time it was, but it must have been close to midnight when Arth gently nudged me awake. As I blinked away the remnants of sleep, I found his face hovering above mine, his eyes sparkling with an excitement that was contagious. He whispered softly, "Wake up, baby."

Groggy and disoriented, I mumbled, "What time is it?" He responded with a warm smile, "It’s time for my girl’s birthday. Happy birthday, my love." Before I could fully register his words, he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss on my cheek. The warmth of his touch sent a flutter through my chest, and a small, sleepy smile crept across my face.

Surprised, I asked, "How do you know it’s my birthday?" His eyes twinkled with a mischievous gleam as he replied, "I make it a point to know everything about my girl. Knowing your birthday is just the beginning, and I’m only getting started." There was a certain pride in his voice, a certainty that made me feel special in a way I hadn’t before.

Without giving me a chance to respond, he continued, "Now, stop asking questions, I’ve got something for you."

Still half-asleep, I blinked at him in confusion, "Now? What is it?"

"You’ll see," he said, a playful edge to his voice. He took my hand, gently pulling me out of bed. As we moved down the hallway, I realized he was leading me toward a room I’d never been in before, the one adjacent to his private office. Just as we reached the door, he paused and placed his hands over my eyes. "No peeking," he teased. "I’ve got a surprise for you."

I chuckled softly and promised, "Okay, I won’t." The anticipation was building, and even in my sleepy state, I could feel the excitement bubbling up inside me.

The door creaked open, and though my eyes were still covered, I could sense a soft glow filtering through my closed eyelids. The scent of roses filled the air, sweet and intoxicating, wrapping around me like a warm embrace. He guided me into the room with careful steps, and once we were inside, he whispered, "Alright, open your eyes."

When I did, I couldn’t help but gasp. The sight before me was nothing short of magical. The room was a dreamscape, bathed in the soft, warm light of fairy lights that twinkled like stars against the dim background. Balloons floated gently around the room, their white color adding to the ethereal atmosphere. The air was thick with the fragrance of fresh flowers, their delicate scent weaving through the space and enveloping me in its embrace.

In the center of the room stood a table, draped in a white lace tablecloth that shimmered softly under the glow of the lights. Atop the table was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen, adorned with intricate swirls of frosting. It was in my favorite flavor, and just the sight of it made my heart swell with emotion.

I turned to Arth, my eyes wide with surprise and gratitude. "You did all of this… for me?"

He smiled, that same gentle, reassuring smile that always made me feel safe and cherished. "Of course, babe. You deserve nothing but the best."

My heart felt like it could burst with happiness. In that moment, I realized just how much he cared, how deeply he knew me, and how far he was willing to go to make me happy. It wasn’t just about the decorations or the cake—it was the thought, the effort, and the love behind it all that made this moment so special.

Arth stepped closer, his eyes never leaving mine as he reached for my hand. "I wanted to make this birthday unforgettable for you," he said softly. "You mean the world to me, and I want you to know that, every single day."
