I left for work early in the morning trying to avoid Killian.
The events of last night haunted me like a bad dream, I shook my head to get it out of my mind.
If I was going to focus on work then I needed to be hundred percent there mentally.
I got to the massage parlor and I ducked into my office to avoid meeting anyone.
I didn't need them asking a lot of questions, I just wanted my peace.I tried to focus on work but I was distracted, my mind was all over the place and I was exhausted from the activities of last night.
I was done, so I decided to go home early and take a nap. I quietly left my office and the first person I met was Diana.
She looked like she had been waiting for me.
"Diana," I muttered.
She took a good look at my face, "are you okay?" She asked.
I nodded, "yeah, just a little tired."
She scanned my body for bruises but she found none."How are the marriage plans going?"
Normally I would find his funny but there was no humorous bone in me.
"I said no," I confessed.
"You did what?" She asked, her face painted in shock.
"There is a lot I don't know about him. It's just there glaring at me. I need to know that I am not making a mistake."
Diana looked at me with pity, "it's okay. You would be alright." She said as she hugged me.I accepted the hug, I didn't realize how much I needed one till she gave it to me.
"You can give yourself time and find a new master when the time is right." She said.
I shook my head slightly. I wasn't sure what I needed was a master. With Killian, it was easy because I let him dominate me but I wasn't a submissive. I never was.
"I don't need that right now," I told her.
"I understand but if you are ready, I would take you to the club to pick one for yourself. It might be a good idea for you to vent."
"I know, thank you, Diana," I said.
"No problem."
"I am going home early today," I informed her.
"Okay, let me walk you out."
She didn't talk to me but her presence was comforting, we walked together till we got out of the massage parlor.
I stopped short, Killian was standing beside his car waiting for me. My whole body shook with fear but I tried to hold it in.
He stared at Diana with a cold look before he took a step forward, he walked the short distance to meet me.
The look on his face was scary."Hello, Mr. Black." Diana greeted in a polite voice.
"Diana." He said, cooly.
They waited for each other, Diana seemed oblivious to the look he was giving her.
I feared for her life, I moved to shield her from his eyes without making it obvious.
"Diana, I would see you at work tomorrow," I said as I emphasized the last word.
She seemed to get it because she snapped out of her head.
"Okay, Catalina. I would see you later." She said as she gave me a side hug.
She made her way to leave when Killian stopped her, I closed my eyes in shame.
"Diana, I hope you are not the one whispering things into her ears."
"Excuse me?" She asked.
"If I were you, I wouldn't say any pointless thing to her." He said.
"I don't know what you are talking about." She said as she shrugged.
Killian chuckled darkly making the hair at the back of my neck stand. I muttered a prayer to myself.
"You know what happens to people who can't keep their lips shut," Killian said.
I heard the underlying threat and fear seized me there. I didn't want to go with him anymore.
Diana glanced at me and I muttered an apology to her. I started walking forward to get Killian's attention off of her.
He walked beside me and I kept mute, there was nothing to say and I didn't want to say anything that would trigger him.
His stares burned into the corner of my skull and I shivered.
What was he planning?
I can't believe he threatened Diana in front of me. What kind of man is he?
I looked at him from the corner of my eyes to make sure he wasn't going to hit me.The walk to the car seemed long and I wanted to get this over with it.
"Do you want to leave me?" He asked.
I jerked, almost stumbling. The force of the question caught me off-guard.
I heard the question but it took everything in me to keep walking, I had no idea what he wanted from me.I never thought this would be an action and if it was, was it an action I was willing to explore?
From the corner of my eyes, I saw him shake his head. He muttered something angrily and stomped to his car.
My silence must have told him everything he needed to know. Well, silence does speak louder than words.
"Killian," I called out but he ignored me as he entered his car.
Without waiting for me, he zoomed off.
I stood staring at the dust the car left behind.I couldn't go back to the villa.
I walked back to the massage parlor and ducked into my office, I would go much later when the place is calm.
I kept waiting for my phone to ring but it didn't, was he still angry?I dropped my phone back on the table still waiting for his call.
I couldn't concentrate, my mind was occupied with the thoughts of him."Fuck it!" I muttered to myself when I couldn't get him out of my mind.
I got up again and packed my things determined to see for myself. I still needed that sleep.
