Alright, so Lexie's staying here for three days while Angel's away. Lucky for us, we're done with our duties and just have paperwork left to submit before we can get our Certificate of Completion. So, it's the perfect time for Lexie to crash here.
"So, when's Angel coming back?" Lexie asked as she started settling in.
"Well, she told me she'll be gone for three days. She's got stuff to take care of," I replied.
"Alright then. My practice is from 7 pm to midnight. It's so hectic!" She said, letting out a sigh as she unpacked her things.
"Well, it's a good thing you're staying here for a while. You need to rest!" I said, nodding with a smile.
Lexie plopped down on her favorite spot on the floor and pulled out her phone. I busied myself preparing dinner, glancing over at her now and then.
As Lexie showed me the video on her phone, her eyes sparkled with excitement. "Look, this is our piece," she said, her finger tracing the movements on the screen. "I practiced it already at home, so they don't have to teach me too much... that's JM!" she added, pointing out her boyfriend who was visible in the video.
I watched her as she followed along with the video, making tiny movements as she practiced. I couldn't help but be in awe of her dedication. There was something incredibly endearing about watching her immerse herself in something she loved so much. "I'm sure you can do it! You're the best dancer of them all!" I cheered, unable to hide my admiration.
The next day, Lexie had a morning class to attend. It was great having her at the dorm because it meant she could get a little extra sleep before heading to campus, which was just a minute away.
"So, are you heading home after your class?" I asked as she was getting ready to leave.
"Nope, I'll stay there. I need to practice my dance," she said, slipping on her shoes.
"Should I bring you lunch?" I offered. "Let's eat together. I have to talk to Sir Sanchez anyway, so I'll be at the campus later."
Lexie smiled and agreed, so I walked her outside, making sure she had her umbrella with her.
Before Lexie even finished her class, I was already at the canteen, patiently waiting. I watched the stream of students pass by, scanning for a familiar face. And finally, there she was!
"Trishhh!" Lexie's excited voice rang out as she walked towards me, her face lighting up with a bright smile. "Yeyy, what do we have here?" she asked, eyeing the lunch I'd brought.
"Your favorite," I said with a grin.
We settled down and enjoyed our lunch, chatting and laughing as we ate. Before long, we were the last ones left in the canteen. With a mischievous glint in her eye, Lexie pulled out the big mirror that was propped up against the wall and set it up on the side of the room.
"This is where the real fun begins!" she declared, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
As I sat there, watching her, Lexie began to dance. Her movements were full of energy, and she seemed to lose herself completely in the rhythm. Occasionally, she'd let out a frustrated groan. "Aghh, this is so hard!" she'd complain, though her smile never wavered.
Despite her occasional grumbles, it was clear she was having the time of her life. She laughed at herself whenever she made a mistake, a sound that was both infectious and endearing. I couldn't help but join in, my laughter mingling with hers.
"Seriously, you're amazing, Noelle!" I said, clapping when she nailed a particularly tricky step.
"Have you talked to Sir Sanchez yet?" Lexie asked as she took a quick break, catching her breath.
