Hug Hater (Goob x shrimpo fan-fiction)

chapter 19 - movie night

hey guys welcome to what may be the second to last chapter of this story so i hope u guys enjoy, after chapter 20 i will probably just add some extra short mini chapters for after.

Shrimpos pov:

Today was the movienight that astro as been setting up for the past week, everyone will go to astros room, since its the biggest, and we will watch a movie. Goob has been hyped ever since astro said he planning it  and wont stop bugging me about it. I was relaxing in bed at like 9pm at night, when goob basicly busted through door like the koolaid man to tell me the movie was starting in 5 minutes. I said i would be there in a sec cus i needed to put on a shirt and actually get up, i was in bed taking a nap btw. That was what finally what made him get out and wait till i got there, i got changed and made my way to astros room just to see goob standing at the door super exited.  We walked in together and sat on the couch, and astro shut off the lights. I looked around do see everyone sitting down and waiting patiently for the movie to start, i relised they have been doing these movie nights without me when i used to bully everyone. It makes sense, nobody rlly liked to have me around but atleast i can join now. Since everyone got their own mat or couch that they had to share in pairs, i was lucky to get the same one as goob let alone one at all. Luckily most couples were getting the same mat/couch. The movie was starting and i layed down, since it was a small couch i was laying more onto goobs lap but ehhhh its fine he probably fine with it.

Goobs pov:

Yesssss the movie is starting, shrimpo was laying on my lap and we shared our popcorn. But can we go back to the part where i mentioned he was laying on my lap, im ecstatic that he is getting more comfortable with me and is able to chill with me. 10 minutes into the movie and i swear half of the toons where already asleep, why did astro pick the most boringgg movieeeee. It was kinda funny the way most of us fell asleep, toodles fell asleep on the ground,  poppy was halfway off her and boxtins couch upside down, And scraps had her tail fully wrapping her up like a rope. I checked if shrimpo was still awake and he was fully invested. 30 minutes in everyone but me, shrimpo, astro, and dandy were asleep, even pebbles left and curled up in his dog bed. And we were only 1/3 of the ways into the movie, yeah guys great movie, i was thinking sarcasticly. I felt shrimpos tap me on my shoulder, apparently when i was thinking i kept moving and shifting. I tried to stay still and just tried to watch the movie. 1 hour in, me and shrimpo were the only two awake and yet i was still in and out of sleep. I looked around yet again and shrimpo was still fully alert, i truly do now know he does it. After what felt like lifetime prison sentence, we finished the movie. And i wont lie i fell asleep at the very end, i woke up when the movie finished and saw shrimpo sit up. "Wow i enjoyed that movie" shrimpo said enthusiastically, but the only words i could muster up in my tired state were "yea true" which i said in the most dead sounding voice. "Ima go back to your room meet me there" he said as he stood up, i said ok i looked away for a second and felt shrimpo hug me. "Today was a fun night" he said with a smile on his face, i turned around looked at him in the eyes and kissed him. "Ok i will meet you there just let me wake up the rest of the toons" i said, he said ok and blushed a little as we walked out. Little did i know the end credits did not only wake me up but all of us, and everytoon just sat there and watched. After the fact, poppy told me she recorded the whole thing, how nice.

Shrimpos pov:

Welp that was a great movie. I was in the room and kinda just sat there, that was the first time goob kissed me instead of vice versa. I layed there and saw goob come to the room and sit on his bed next to me. I just layed there and watched as he immediatly fell asleep. I probably could have left him just go to sleep in astros room with the rest of them. I was about to get up to go get water as he wrapped his arm around me in his sleep, so i decided to just go to sleep myself as he cuddled me in his sleep. I would say it was a good day.

As you guys can see im running out of ideas so i hope i see u guys in what may be the last chapter next time.
