Inayat POV

He had fainted. I could see his eyes closing gradually. The women that had come along with us were being called upon by Arjun ji in our way to Thakur mansion.

They told everything about my husband to my brothers, but his weary condition was wrenching my heart terribly. I crouched on the floor, crying miserably. Arjun ji sat down to cajole me, but the cuts inflicted upon his body were hurting the entire existence of mine.

I have fallen in love with him!

But he is more into this relationship than me. He was right when he said love cannot stand until it stays firm upon trust, but I couldn't trust him. I doubted him even when he had confessed everything to me.

Balraj bhaiya and Dhanraj bhaiya knelt down to pat his cheeks and back, but he did not wake up. He was blootered by them too. Dhanraj bhaiya quickly picked him up, and ran to the garage. They discussed that they would take him to the hospital.

As Balraj bhaiya passed by me, I held his wrist. He turned towards me, his countenance spoke that he was asking me the reason behind my gesture.

"I want to come along with you. Please bhaiya."

I mumbled in a low voice, and he immediately placed his palm on head.

"Sure, Inu! Come with Arjun."

He groaned in a low voice, and strode behind Dhanraj bhaiya.

I started walking hurriedly behind Arjun ji, and within a few minutes, we were in the hospital. It didn't take more than half an hour to bring chhote thakur back to consciousness.

Ma and bhabhis had also come to the hospital by then. I so badly wanted to see him, but the presence of his other family members was hindering me to run to him and hug him tightly.

Armaan Bhai Jaan also arrived in the hospital. I sniffled and he quickly rushed to hide me in his loving embrace.

"He will be okay, Inu! Don't worry!"

He cooed me, gently caressing my head, followed by pecking me over there.

"I should have trusted him."

I muttered to him, brushing off my tears in urgency.

"No one could imagine that he would be doing such things by hiding himself from anyone."

Bhai Jaan spoke to me, still embracing me tightly. Ma was struggling to see him, but the doctors had asked us to stay out for some time.

"And who thrashes his own brother like this?"

He bellowed at Balraj bhaiya and Dhanraj bhaiya, who glanced at him with not so angry expressions.

"We didn't know that he was....um.. innocent!"
