Jairaj POV
Her words had pierced my heart tonight. As I walked out of that secluded place, I gazed at the bedecked walls of the mansion, where the celebrations were taking place till now.
No one bothered to search for me and my wife, perhaps because they must be thinking we were busy in something spicy, but no one knows where we were actually busy.
I can tolerate everything, but nothing against my brothers, not because they are my brothers, but I've seen them suffering, remorsing and dying gradually in the absence of their wives. I never knew the value of a wife, until I saw my brothers with theirs.
Balraj bhaiya went insane when Manu bhabhi wasn't with him, and Dhanraj bhaiya almost died bleeding when he had hit himself using the spiked belt after what he had done with Ragini bhabhi, that too when he was drugged.
She should not have dragged them in this conversation. Her words have wounded me severely - so much that I don't even care where she has gone now. I didn't realise when I fell asleep thinking of the good moments that we had shared together.
My baby begum and I are happily walking over the green grass, our fingers intertwined intimately, and suddenly a loud sound interrupted us. She kept gazing at me until she began losing consciousness. I quickly held her, but the moment I touched her back, I felt something sticky on my palms. As I saw it, that was blood, and she fell down.
She was shot dead!
I woke up, and realised that I was all sweating, deciphering that it was a nightmare. As usual, I spread my arms to find my baby begum, but she wasn't here. I straightened up with a jolt.
Firstly the dream, and now in her absence. I was actually worried, about her now. I hope she has gone to Amrood Kothi.
I quickly grabbed my phone, and called Armaan.
"Hey, Jai!" Armaan picked up the call, his voice sounded happy and content.
"Aru, is Inayat okay? Is her mood good now?"
I asked him immediately, my voice tense and throaty because I've just woken up.
"Inu? She isn't here. What are you talking about?"
His voice turned worried too, as if he didn't know where she was. I will go crazy if I ain't able to find her.
"What?" I blurted out. She could be here as well.
"Okay! She must be here, in some other room."
I spoke with a tinge of relief in my voice. I was about to disconnect the call, when he spoke up.
"Wait, Jai! What happened?"
I could hear his footsteps as if he was going somewhere, perhaps to look for his sister.
"I told her about Amjad, and she couldn't digest it. She.... blurted out.... something really bad."
I told him in a broken voice, getting out of my room to find her out. She must have slept on the sofa.
"What did she say?"
He enquired, the zeal in his voice faded away. He sounded sad.
"She accused my brothers of deeds your father has done."
I spoke in a low voice, climbing down the stairs.
"Damn! She should not have been.."
An eerie silence followed his remorseful words.
"...well, she isn't here. Go check out for her."
He vociferated, panting slightly. He must have ran to find my baby begum. It's my time to run away now.
