Irresponsible Tidbits

1.

Previous context: On the night when Nie Zihang was in pre-heat, Yu Jingxuan got drunk but remembered everything. He remembered the uncontrollable pheromones emitted by Nie Zihang that night, as well as the sweet, honey-like scent of orchids emanating from his own neck.

The next day, after much contemplation, Yu Jingxuan sent a message to Nie Zihang:

[Mr. Nie, would you like to give it a try with me…?]

Nie: [? What should I try?]

Yu: [I like your pheromones…]

An hour later, Nie Zihang replied with two cold words: [I apologise.]

On the third day of Nie Zihang’s heat, he was alone at home.

On the screen of his phone, the chat conversation was still displayed.

The messages between the two of them were still frozen in time, dating back two days ago…

Yu Jingxuan asked him if they should give it a try, mentioning that he liked his pheromones.

He replied: I apologise.

In the span of just two days, those three messages were probably read a hundred times… or maybe even two hundred times…?

The person on the sofa sat with his clothes dishevelled, replaying in his mind the night when the two of them lost control… The Alpha’s beautiful eyelashes, the red tip of his nose, and his bewildered gaze…

Finally, he dejectedly threw his phone onto the sofa. Yu Jingxuan… Just torture me to death.

Nie Zihang thought more than once, ‘Let him ask again… just one more time,’ and he would agree.

But the reality was that Yu Jingxuan never sent him another message—not even a single word.

The clock ticked away, and it was now five o’clock in the afternoon.

Even though it was still summer, the sun had been hidden behind dark clouds, and outside the window, it was pitch black.

The rain was falling gently and densely.

Suddenly, the phone that was thrown onto the sofa started buzzing loudly.

Nie Zihang picked up the phone and saw that there was only one word displayed on the screen: “Yu.”

There was also a profile picture of a chubby fish.

It was Yu Jingxuan…

It was a call from Yu Jingxuan…

Nie Zihang stared at the phone for a while before finally swiping to answer it. “Hello… Officer Yu.”

As he spoke, his voice was low and hoarse.

There was no response from the other end, only the clear sound of rain coming through the receiver.
