On the 24th of December, a Saturday, Yu Jingxuan had a day off. Originally, he had intended to collaborate with Nie Zihang in adorning the room and capturing lovely photographs of their baby. However, unexpectedly, Nie Zihang found himself with urgent tasks to attend to at the office in the morning, prompting Yu Jingxuan to come and bring the baby along.

At present, Nie Zihang was engaged in a business meeting outside, where Yu Jingxuan accompanied the baby in the office of the other party.

A little over two months ago, a lovely Omega baby came into the world. Possessing the attractive traits of both Yue Jingxuan and Nie Zihang, their child boasted fair skin and a plump face, undoubtedly destined to become an adorable and endearing individual in the years to come.

In the present moment, the baby reclined in the rocking chair, enveloped in a cosy lamb blanket. His eyes, resembling clusters of grapes, blink incessantly as he fixates upon his Alpha father, emanating a gentle and delicate aura.

“Ah… Ahh!”

(Beep… beep, beep!)

Subsequently, the Alpha tenderly cradled his chin while gently swaying a small tambourine before the baby: “Mm-hmm.”

The little one extended his small and plump arms, displaying a resolute endeavour to reach upwards, his lips curving into a broad smile.

“Hehe!”

(Boom, boom… Here it comes!)

The edges of Yu Jingxuan’s mouth involuntarily curled upwards as he playfully taunted the baby in a gentle manner.

How quickly time passed. It seemed as if it were only yesterday when the couple embarked on their tropical island honeymoon and discovered the pregnancy at the onset of this year. In the blink of an eye, the baby had already entered the world and exhibited remarkable good behaviour each day.

The baby was affectionately referred to as “Miao Miao” due to a lighthearted joke made during the pregnancy, where it was humorously suggested that Yu Jingxuan was carrying a little fish fry. Consequently, they opted to adopt it as the baby’s nickname. As for the formal name, it was bestowed as Yu Xiaoye, with the surname “Yu” derived from Yu Jingxuan. Given that the pregnancy was discovered during a tropical island excursion and the father’s pheromones carried a subtle essence of the ocean, they decided to name the baby Xiaoye.1

The little one, who had recently surpassed the age of two months, was in need of rest. Following a period of play with his dad, he peacefully drifted off into a deep slumber.

With utmost care, Yu Jingxuan delicately swathed the little one in a small blanket, tenderly planting a gentle kiss upon the baby’s minuscule fist near the lips before reluctantly returning him to the comforting embrace of the blanket.

Meanwhile, outside, Nie Zihang remained engrossed in a conversation with someone.

The sound permeated through the narrow opening of the door, indicating that the other individual was an Omega… Their conversation was filled with intricate professional jargon that proved challenging to comprehend.

He was informed that he too was a lawyer and was on the verge of heading to court. However, an unexpected matter arose, prompting him to urgently seek Nie Zihang’s assistance.
