The rest of the day passed quickly, Karissa's feet grew more tired as the time went on. On her way to the last class of the day, with Professor Delta, she spotted three familiar faces; Cora, Lorelai and Amanda stood next to the dormitory stairway. "Hey, girls," Karissa walked up to them, "heading up?" Amanda's face gleamed. Lorelai smiled, "Yep, I finished early, Amanda's last two classes were cancelled, and Cora doesn't have as many as we do, so we considered going and assisting each other with studies." Cora chimed in, "Where are you headed, K?"

"I have Professor Delta for my last," Karissa said, "and also some after school thing for Magicks struggling with their power." Amanda's gleam showed smidge of worry and relief, "How are you feeling after Chasm's class?" Her friend had always been worried, any time one of them got hurt, it was always a big deal. Even the smallest scrape gave them scares. "I'll be okay, Amanda" Her red and blue eyes shone with confidence at Amanda's purples. They both nodded in reassurance. "Well we should head up," Lorelai patted Karissa's shoulder, "see you later, and be careful." They all shared waves as the three girls made their way up, leaving Karissa at the bottom steps.

Karissa spent what felt like forever attempting to find this class. The greenhouse? No. The armory? No. The west corner? No. She groaned in worry, I'm extremely late. I hope Professor Delta is understanding.. Maybe this happens to a lot of first years? "Looking for something, shimmer?" Her thoughts were interrupted by an eerily familiar voice, its deep tone made her chest vibrate. There was Malachi, stood close behind her. Startled, she turned and met his gaze, those blue eyes staring into her soul. "Um.." she murmured, "I can't find where I'm supposed to be."

Malachi took the schedule paper from her hands, examining it. "You're in luck," he said, "I also have Delta. And don't worry, we're not late. Delta is one of those where time is a distraction when learning something new. That's why she only does afternoon and evening training." Karissa smiled as his deep voice sent vibrations down her body. "Come, then." Malachi gently took her hand and proceeded to lead her out the backside of the giant school. His warm hand wrapped around her's, she felt her face flush.

A small group of people came into the distant view, some taller than others. As the two got closer, Karissa noticed two familiar faces; Professor Delta and Chasm stood together, speaking to the other people, students, about six of them, all close to Karissa's age. "Sorry, Master," Malachi smiled to Delta, "Karissa was lost, and I just so happened to bump into her." Karissa waved. "Very well then," Delta nodded, "that's perfectly fine. Now that all are present," she looked at Chasm, "we can begin."

Delta had all of the students sit with her and Chasm in a circle, criss-crossed, and hands comfortably placed on knees. "Alright," Delta continued, "You're probably all wondering, why such a small group?" The students all looked at one another. "It's because I have your peers already assigned tasks," she smiled, "to teach one another a new skill. That is why Chasm is here, in case those students need assistance. For the next couple days, you few are my main focus." A couple students had grim expressions, Malachi's expression was calm, a couple others next to Karissa wore faces of distaste, almost timid. Karissa only nodded with interest.

"Chasm and I would love for this group to work on what we struggle with most." She started, "All of you sit in this circle with at least one thing in common.. you all are too strong for your own good. And you've been told to bottle it up, that you are not ready.." She looked at Chasm, who continued her speech as if he knew exactly what she wanted to say, "Well we think that's complete wyrm shit." The students let out quiet laughs. "Yes," Delta smiled, "we think that you are all completely capable. You just need more time than everyone else."

"So why is there a Second Year here?" One of the girls pointed at Malachi, "I've heard he's done good with his abilities." A couple others next to her agreed. "Malachi will be helping with your training. He agreed to assist once I brought it up to him." Those few students glanced between one another, taking quick looks at Malachi, who wasn't phased at all.
