Back in the school, Professor Delta escorted Karissa to the Medic so they could rule out severe injuries. Thankfully, she only had some bruising and a few small scrapes. She, unfortunately, was covered in filth, so Delta told her to take her time in the Bath. "I will have a set of clothes brought to you from your room," she said, "please wash up a little, and then when you're done, get some rest. There's a lot that needs to be talked about, young lady, but we will wait until you are rested."
The Bath was basically just two rooms, Male and Female, that were on the same floor as the Medic. In it, there was a large shower, a few sinks, and a large bathtub. There were shelves and drawers by the entrance that had towels, robes, soaps and bath salts. All of this was to stay inside the room, so there was a basket for the used robes and towels to be placed.
Karissa didn't come here often since she often just used Tucker and Malachi's shower. She stopped coming to this one after a group of girls were moaning together in the shower. Aside from that, she just didn't like other people seeing her nude. Her parents and Amanda were the only exceptions since she grew up with them like a family, but everyone else was a stranger, and it felt strange to her.
The room was cold due to the winter's vast approach, so as Karissa removed her once green dress, brown with mud and a few patches of dark green grass stains. Some of the seams were torn from the Mimic's strength. A Mimic.. The image of it flashed in her mind, and she shuddered.
Her clothes sat in a pile nearby, and with her soaps, she sat in the large tub, the water slowly rising with its warmth gliding up Karissa's feet. The tub was so large that it had a step people used to sit. It was enchanted, so every time someone sat in, the water would keep regenerating, staying clean as the dirt was wiped away.
Right when she was almost finished, people approached from outside the room, and the door opened. Startled, she kept most of her body submerged in the bubbly water. In came a group of girls, who began to strip as soon as the door shut. There were at least 6 girls, all older than Karissa by no more than a year or two.
Their conversations echoed in the room, and Karissa couldn't really understand them. A few of the girls saw her and started to hush the others, "There's someone here, hush." One of the girls whispered. They all looked at Karissa, who decided to pretend she wasn't paying attention to them.
"Hey." Another girl walked up to her, completely nude, "You're Karissa, right?" She looked up at the girl and nodded. She sat in the tub with Karissa, her slim figure and large breasts disappearing in the soap. "I heard you're pretty close to the Professors." Karissa shrugged, "Not really, I'm just newer and in Delta's tutoring program."
The other girls sat in the tub as well, some sitting close to Karissa. "Well," the one continued, "Think you could put in a good word for me with Hansor? He keeps dropping my test grades and not giving me a chance to bring them up." Karissa didn't know how to respond. "Um.. Hansor isn't my professor, and.. I don't even know who you are.. so, those are the reasons I gotta say no.." The girl rolled her eyes, "Eh, that's alright. I'll ask one of the upper class guys then. I'm Hyra, by the way. A witch."
"Nice to meet you, Hyra," Karissa nodded, "I'll let you guys have the tub now since I'm pretty much done." She started to get up, but the two girls she sat between pulled her back down, she yelped. Hyra smirked, "Oh we weren't done talking, Karissa." She inched closer to her as the girls kept their hold on her arms. "Look," she continued, "I know you like Malachi.. and I'm glad! But I also don't appreciate it. So I'd love for you to stay away from him. Got it?"
Karissa's brows furrowed, "I don't know who you think you are, but last I checked Malachi doesn't have a girlfriend." One of the girls holding her down chimed in, "He doesn't, but Hyra liked him first." The other continued her sentence, "Yeah, so you need to leave him alone."
"How was I supposed to know? And why do you guys care so much?" She freed herself from their grasp, "We're adults, this isn't Kindergarten, so stop claiming him like he's some toy." Another person entered the room as Karissa walked up to the shower. Amanda shut the door behind her, "Hey, K, I brought your clothes." She looked over at the girls and glared, "Hyra.."
Hyra chuckled, "Hello, Fagmanda.." the other girls giggled. Amanda rolled her eyes and looked at Karissa, "Are they bothering you?" Karissa shook her head, "I'm fine, A. Thanks for bringing my stuff." Amanda smiled, "I'll wait for you to be done, you need to eat something and I'm hungry, so we're going to the hall after this." Karissa rolled her eyes and laughed as she finished rinsing off.
The six girls whispered about them from the tub as Amanda handed her friend a towel. As Karissa dried off, the whispers continued until Hyra walked up to them. "Are you two mates?" She asked, "Cause if you're mates that's totally cool, I just think it's a little weird." Amanda glared at her, "Why would it be weird if we were?" Hyra shrugged, "I mean, you're both females, you look like sisters sometimes, and.. oh yeah, being gay makes you evil!"
Karissa growled, "Buzz off, Hyra.." she unwrapped the towel and took the clothes from Amanda, a simple white shirt and brown pants, plus socks and underwear, "First of all, we're not mates, Amanda is like my sister. Second, I don't know where you got the idea that she's gay. Third, bullying at your big age makes you look like the evil one. Leave my friend alone."
Hyra huffed with a smirk, "Fine, I'll bother someone else. See you later, fags." She walked back to the tub slowly, as if trying to exaggerate and show off her body, unimpressive to the girls' standards. Karissa glanced at Amanda, meeting eye contact, and held their breath to not laugh.

The walk to the dining hall was a little quieter than the girls' usual walks. Karissa decided to break the awkward silence, "Amanda can I ask you something?" Her friend hummed in response. Karissa paused, "Are you.. actually gay? I mean you've hinted at it before, so.. are you..?" Amanda hesitated. "Hey, I'm not saying that because I don't like it. I don't care if you are, there's nothing wrong with it. I'm just asking, A.."
Amanda smiled uncertainly, "I like women," she started, "and the idea of being with a man.. it makes me feel wrong.. I don't feel happy with that, but with a woman.. I'd feel so happy."
Karissa beamed, "Then I'm happy for you. And you'll always be my best friend!" Amanda chuckled, "Even if people think we're together..?" She shrugged, "Let them, it's kinda funny watching people obsess over someone's love life." The two giggled as they reached for their food trays.
