Volume 4 - Arc 4 [Rebuilding the hero league]

Once they got back to the mansion Kash placed Punctures Kitana on a stand over the fireplace to honor him while Von took Hercules to meet Nathaniel, Fue and Roman. Hercules nodded as he followed behind von to meet those three and get to know them and hopefully convince them to join the new team that von and him would be leading. "Boys this is your leader. Your hero league leader." Von spoke with authority. Hercules looked at the others for a moment before he spoke with confidence "My name is Hercules grimes and i will be leading this team from now on. You all now need to answer to me in terms of team-based things so listen up. We will each have our own roles, and this will be a new and fresh team so get familiar with each other now. Is everyone clear on that?" Hercules spoke out to the others as he then began to watch as how they would all respond to him being their new leader. The three boys nodded grinning at one another when Joseph ran into the room panting and shaking frantically. "V-von- von-" Joseph stuttered. "Joseph- is something the matter?" Hercules replied as he turned his attention to Joseph who seemed to be very worried and panicked about something as he was breathing very quickly from his frantic run. Von turned raising an eyebrow curious. "Th-there was a descendent of Luciano Brice-" Joseph stuttered out as Von stiffened. "Zipline... Had a child- where are they..." Von snapped pissed. "He is twenty-two years old sir lives out near the outskirts of Cryotion... I don't think he is evil though sir." Joseph nodded. "I want an address to where he is and i want him brought here now!" Von shouted as he grew more and more agitated with every single second that passed by with that knowledge of a descendent being out there. "His name is Lucious Brice-" Joseph scrambled a bit getting the address to Von. "very well then i will go take care of this personally" von exclaimed as he then went to walk out the front door but as he did he looked over at Hercules. "I have some business to take care of i will be back in a couple hours. i want you three to get to know each other while i am gone. understand?" von spoke as he exited the building immediately heading out to the outskirts of Cryotion to locate Lucious Brice. Kash followed with Von to assist him riding in the limo with him. "You think this guy will come willingly... What if he is just as cruel as his father was?" Kash asked concerned. "Lucious Brice is not going to get a choice in coming with me or not when i find him. I know he will not come willingly but i will make sure we secure him and bring him here whether he wants it or not. His father was a terrible man and he needs to answer for his families' deeds at the very least. And if he is cruel like him then he will face the same fate as his father did....i will not have any more lives lost over the actions of their family." von hissed in response. Kash nodded in agreement. "I heard his father was a racist man who acted from ignorance..." "Yeah a racist man who killed for fun. He would kill and steal from non supers in China... His actions were inexcusable and he deserved what he got, and if his son is just as bad then he should suffer too." von growled as they both drove in silence now heading towards lucious brice's location. "I just hope maybe he broke the cycle." Kash shrugged as the ride grew silent. "maybe he did and maybe he didn't. i will find out when i see him face to face." von said with a sigh before letting the ride stay in silence as they continued to drive towards brice's location. Once they arrived Kash exited opening Von's door for him looking at the decent home. once von had also exited the vehicle he took one last look around at the area before walking towards the front of the home where he knocked on the door. Kash then rose an eyebrow at the sounds of loud heavy metal music blasting as Lucious opened the door. He was a spitting image of his father with his own distinctive traits along with a punk rock style going on. von immediately took notice of how much this man looked like his father but with his own distinctive traits and his punk rock style, he felt rage building up within him as he saw the man standing before him. "Let me guess you are lucious brice." von asked him keeping his calm and professional demeanor. "Yeah who are you-?" Lucious raised an eyebrow softly hitting a cigarette carton before spinning a cigarette to his lips before raising a finger to then end using a tiny spark of electricity to light it inhaling then exhaling. "My name is von and i am here to bring you back with me to the estate. This is not a request and you will do as you are told, do i make myself clear?" von spoke to him raising a brow as he spoke before letting his hand fall back down to his side as he stayed a few meters away not wanting to get close enough to be hit by his electric powers. "Is this about my dead beat dads league listen i said I'm not interested in that racist fucks shit okay-" Lucious snapped annoyed causing Kash to interject. "The hero league is being redone from scratch- actually." Kash stated. "Well i am the one who is leading the new league and all previous members are retiring or have retired. I need someone with experience to be the final member to make this team complete and you are the only candidate that i could find. Your father was a horrible man but if you are as you claim you are not then you will join the league and help protect the innocent. Do i make myself clear?" von spoke calmly to him while looking him in the eyes as Kash intervened and tried to explain the situation to lucious. Lucious groaned. "If i say no your just going to kidnap me- Fine yeah whatever." Lucious rolled his eyes letting them inside walking to his stereo system turning the music off. The place had basic decor smelling of cigarettes and booze. "I go by Citral- thats my alias..." He nodded as Kash stood admiring the place awkwardly. von stepped inside not making a single comment regarding the decor or scent of the room but instead looking around at all the decor before turning back to look at lucious as he nodded his head in response to him going by Citral. "Very well then Citral. It seems like you have been on your own for a while so i should know beforehand. do you have any issues following simple orders and working with others on a team?" "Unless the order is stupid no sir." He gave a smug grin as he was walking around packing a bag. von nodded with a small smirk that could barely be seen under his facial features. "That is good. You will be working directly underneath Hercules grimes who will be giving you the orders for your team. We have our first major operation shortly and it would be good to have you there." von continued talking to him before looking around the room seeing that he was already moving to pack a bag which made him raise a brow. "Dope right so like i tend to use my own stuff if like cool-" He nodded throwing the backpack over his shoulder. "Lead the way-" Lucious nodded following Von and Kash outside to the Limo. "That is no issue. the team is made up of independent and resourceful individuals who all have their own personal weapons, skills, and gadgets so using your own equipment is no issue as long as you get it done how you prefer. Once we arrive back at the mansion Hercules will introduce himself to you and we will brief you more thoroughly and start working on our next operation." Von replied calmly as he headed to the limo with Lucious and Kash following behind. "Sounds good to me..." Lucious let out a sigh in the limo seat beside Kash.
