Damion arrived at the meeting point and flashed his headlights. Earl and Zoe had been waiting for what felt like for an eternity when he finally arrived.

"Jokes aside, What took ya?" Earl asked as he hopped out of his 2019 Durango.

"Traffic..." Damion murmured, giving Earl a fist bump.

"Dame..." Zoe added before pulling him into her ample bosom, "Are you okay?"

"I'm dying inside, Zoe..."

Damion's words seemed to echo through Zoe's mind, settling like a heavy weight in her chest. She pulled back from the embrace, the concern etched across her features. "What's wrong, Damion?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Earl, having witnessed the exchange, added, "C'mon, spill the beans. What's got you so down?"

The three of them found a place to sit, the trio of friends leaning in, their attention fully on Damion. They waited patiently for him to share what was troubling him, their hearts aching for the pain he was clearly going through.

Zoe reached for Damion's hand, squeezing it reassuringly. "You can trust us, you know that, right?" she said, her expression a mix of empathy and determination.

Together, they had faced many trials, and the bond that held them together was unbreakable. No matter what Damion shared, Zoe knew that she and Earl would be there to support him, just as they always had.

"Obata...he's forcing me to work for him after I took Kumagai out. I-If I don't, he'll hurt Saki....he'll hurt you guys. The things he forces me to do...it's killing me, it isn't me...it's not right." Damion whispered as he leaned into Zoe's embrace, "But...I have to protect you guys..."

Zoe's heart slammed against her chest as Damion revealed the terrible predicament he found himself in. Tears pricked her eyes at the thought of what he was going through, the pain still fresh in her heart from her past experiences with Obata.

She held Damion tighter, her grip a reassuring press against his hand. "We'll figure this out, Damion. We can't let Obata control us. We're stronger than this," Zoe affirmed, her voice an ironclad promise.

Earl's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint in them. "What the hell kind of shit did he get you into, son? We'll get you out of this, don't you worry," he growled, his protective instincts stirring.

In that moment, the three friends stood united, a wall of determination against the darkness that threatened to engulf Damion. Zoe couldn't let her friend suffer alone, especially when they faced this monster before.

Earl took Damion's other hand and squeezed it. "We're the only family you've got, Damion. We'll make sure Obata pays for what he's done, and we'll keep Saki safe."

The air crackled with their collective resolve. No matter the cost, they wouldn't let Obata's shadow continue to cast a blight on their lives. Zoe, Damion, and Earl, three lives entwined by tragedy, but bound inseparably by loyalty and love. Together, they would stand up to their greatest foe and wrest victory from the jaws of adversity.

Whatever had been done to Damion, they would put it right. Zoe would not let her friend shoulder this burden alone, and she would not rest until they had restored the balance and reclaimed what was rightfully theirs.

Together, they would face the night and banish the darkness that threatened to consume them. Zoe drew a deep breath and met Damion's eyes, a resolute smile etched on her lips. "We'll bring Obata down, and we'll keep Saki and the rest of us safe. Trust me, Damion. We'll make it right."

"I gotta go..." Damion hopped into his Charger and left the garage. When the bright red classic was gone, Earl and Zoe exchanged looks with one another.
