📽️ Bill and Josh Pilot based personality - short ship fanfic
// The story takes place after an intense night at Bill's house. Josh and Bill, after spending hours arguing about comics and video games, begin to show a more vulnerable and sincere side of their friendship. Although both are known for their competitiveness and sarcasm, that night there's something in the air that leads them to cross a line they had never considered before.
Night at Bill's House:
The light from the television flickers in the dark room, casting shadows on the walls filled with sci-fi posters and shelves overflowing with comics. The voices of characters from a classic horror movie fill the silence that has settled between Josh and Bill. The two are sitting on the couch, closer than usual, but neither mentions it.
Josh: (Sighing as he lowers his head and adjusts his glasses, his voice less biting than usual) I didn't think the movie would affect me this much. I guess I'm more tired than I thought.
Bill Dickey: (Glancing at him, his tone less aggressive, almost curious) Maybe. Or maybe you're just going soft.
(They both let out a brief laugh, but Bill's comment lacks its usual venom. Josh notices this and, instead of responding with his typical sarcasm, just watches him.)
Josh: (In a softer, more thoughtful tone) Or maybe it's because... we don't usually have moments like this. Without the others around. Just you and me.
Bill frowns slightly, as if trying to process what Josh just said. Their eyes meet in the dim light, and there's something in that look that they both understand, but neither knows how to put into words.
Bill Dickey: (In a low, almost murmuring voice) Yeah, it's weird. But... not so bad, right?
(Josh shakes his head, a slight smile appearing on his lips as he leans slightly toward Bill. The distance between them lessens, and the tension in the room becomes palpable, as if they're both on the brink of something they can't control.)
Josh: (In a whisper, as if afraid to break the spell of the night) No... not at all.
The silence stretches, but this time it's not uncomfortable. It's as if they're waiting for something, an impulse that will push them to do what they've both been avoiding for a long time.
(Finally, it's Bill who breaks the tension.
He leans forward, his lips brushing against Josh's in an almost hesitant movement, as if testing the waters. But when he feels Josh's immediate response, the uncertainty dissipates. The kiss is slow, exploratory, filled with a mixture of surprise and repressed desire.)Josh tenses for a moment but then relaxes, allowing the kiss to deepen. His hands, which had been clenched in his lap, slide up to Bill's face, caressing his jaw, pulling him closer. The taste of the other is new, different, but it feels strangely right, as if it had been inevitable that this would happen at some point.
Bill Dickey: (Barely pulling away enough to speak, his voice low and filled with emotions he rarely shows) This... is weird, but... damn it, Josh. I don't want to stop.
Josh: (With a soft smile, his fingers running through Bill's hair as he looks at him with a mix of affection and desire) There's no need to stop, Bill. Not tonight...
(With that confirmation, any lingering doubt disappears. Bill kisses him again, this time with more confidence, more passion. Josh responds with equal fervor, his hands moving along Bill's back, savoring the feeling of having him so close, so vulnerable.)
The room feels warmer, the atmosphere charged with an electric energy that envelops them. They both give in to the moment, not thinking about the consequences, about what this will mean for their friendship, for the club. All that matters now is the present, the fact that they're together, that they're getting to know each other in a completely new way, and that, surprisingly, it feels right.
(The kiss becomes more intense, more desperate. Josh feels the weight of years of competitiveness and sarcasm melt away in that contact, replaced by something deeper, more real. And Bill, though usually the dominant one, the one in control of every situation, finds himself yielding to Josh, letting him take the lead for once.)
Bill Dickey: (Breathing slightly heavily as he pulls back again, his eyes burning with more than just simple desire) Who would've thought you had this in you, Josh?
Josh: (With a mischievous smile, his confidence growing with each second) I've always known what | want, Bill... I was just waiting for the right moment.
(Bill looks at him for a moment, surprised by Josh's sincerity and boldness. But instead of replying, he just kisses him again, knowing that this time, there's no turning back.)
Josh and Bill, discovering something new, don't really know how to react; they seriously try to show and express themselves as best they can. Bill can't hold back, and Josh thinks about how their competitive friendship is evolving into something deeper and more intimate. Both discover a new aspect of their relationship, letting go of their reservations to embrace what had always been latent between them. But they are determined to stay together no matter how much their relationship or "friendship" changes; they care about each other deeply and can't deny it.
Bill Dickey: Damn fatass... I wish I could break you completely, make you explode. I'm gonna wreck you until you can't even look at us again until you recover. (Bill said, whispering in a perverted but somewhat aggressive tone, to which Josh said nothing and just blushed, trying to hide his excitement by turning away a bit shyly.)
Josh: (...)
