"Papá for the last time- I'm ok!" Y/n assured Piero for the 500th time. It was starting to get on their nerves that every little thing they did would cause him to fret over. Carrying too much? Not happening. Slightly tripped? Millions of questions are asked. Even a cough or grunt would make Piero go nuts!

But, Y/n didn't blame him for such behaviors. A month had passed by since the...incident...Y/n managed to heal swiftly from their wounds. But that didn't stop their father and Gaz to watch them like a hawk. It was sweet at first, but now it was getting overbearing.

"Mio Angelo- You've only just recently left the hospital. I just want to make sure you're not gonna reopen any wounds or damage something." Piero consulted, dragging Y/n back to the couch.

"Oh dear...Perhaps you are being too pushy on them Piero. You can't stop a stubborn person, because they will find ways to get their way." Mrs. Lee's voice entered the room, she was a saving soul as she lent her home to the two until they could get back on their feet with business.

"See? Mrs. Lee even agrees that you're hovering to much." Y/n crossed their arms at their father.

"I never said that." Lee rose a brow as she placed down some tea and little snacks for Y/n, "You're father has every right to worry for you deary, but the way he's doing it is just going to cause problems."

Y/n pouted and munched on Lee's chocolate she made, feeling a bit better but still a bit sour about the situation. In truth, it really isn't about being held in a house against their will. It was more about the fact their father had lied to them their whole life about who he was.

Their relationship was rocky now because of lies.
Y/n felt like they only knew half of who their father is, and the trauma that had stained into their mind has made them paranoid about who they trust. This pertained to Gaz as well. Of course, Y/n wasn't as mad at him. Seeing his secret wasn't having a whole ass brother and him used to being a part of some sort of mafia. Oh! Not to mention that your mother died because of said brother, and almost you!

But it didn't excuse Gaz's actions for lying either. Especially when Y/n opened up to him about hating being lied to. The only reason in the hospital they were being clingy to him, was because they were terrified of being alone...speaking of, they had to go to therapy now because of the scarring this whole thing had left them. But since no one really knows about what happen, the only option is to seek mental help from Laswell's wife. Who is a thankfully a psychiatrist for the military.

Y/n thought she was nice, very understanding. They just felt stuck in their own mind trying to describe the details...mentioning it just makes them freeze and hallucinate back to where they were held captive...the people they killed...they see them in their dreams- or nightmares really. Even the smell of burning smoke and loud banging sounds triggered their flight or fight senses. Which in their case it was more of a break down and cry sense.

A knock on the door resonated in the tense atmosphere, making Y/n perk up. They went to stand up, but Piero sent them a look, making Y/n angrily cross their arms and sit back down. Yes they were still healing, yes they were now unstable mentally, but that doesn't mean that should be treated like a baby or some crazy person who you have to walk on thin ice with.

"Ah, Kyle. I assume you're here for Y/n?" Piero voiced, and Y/n just dragged their eyes over to the sight of Gaz.

"Yes sir." Gaz responded, and Piero let's him in. If there's one thing this incident has done, it's made Piero trust Gaz a lot more than what he used to. Gaz spotted Y/n's sulking form on the couch, and he sat next to them. At a distance.

"How are you today?" Gaz asked with a nod, and Y/n shrugged.

"Fine." Y/n simply stated, not even looking his way making Gaz frown. Harsh, yet deserved. Piero sighed at Y/n's behavior, sending Gaz an apologetic look.
