"So. What you've got so far Gaz..." Price took a seat in front of Gaz, they were outside, mainly out of earshot, but still in a public area to blend in.
Currently they were at a different café serving mostly tea. Not many other options than that. Gaz preferred Y/n's restaurant...the coffee here was not as tasteful as their coffee. But, it will have to do. Seeing as the Y/n's café was closed for a bit until Piero's leg healed a bit. It still opened, but not as much, seeing as Y/n had to deal with everyone alone for now.
'Maybe I could help them in some way...?' Gaz had thought to himself as he stared down at the dark liquid in his cup, his reflection staring back at him.
"Sergeant! Are you even paying attention to what I was saying?" Price calls out grumpily, and Gaz jumped a bit from being distributed from his thoughts.
"Oh- Apologies sir...I was in my own head...What did you say?" Gaz spoke respectfully as he made eye contact with Price. Price rolled his blue eyes, taking a drag of smoke through his lips, then blowing it out into the cold crisp air.
"I asked what Intel you've got from Galileo..." Price crossed his arms in expectance.
"Ah...still nothing sir..." Gaz hesitated for a moment, "I don't think he's the cause those attacks sir...the ones in that have been happening in the higher ups in London..."
"And what makes you say that Kyle Hm? Acts of terrorism is no joke, and will not be taken lightly. So you better be right on this assumption. So let me hear it..." Price said in a serious tone, continuing to stare into Gaz's eyes.
"Well...respectfully sir...I do not hold evidence of my claim...But I seriously do stand by my statement." Gaz held intensity in his eyes as he stared right back at Price, holding his ground against the tense discussion.
"Enlighten me then. Why sergeant do you believe that a cold heart mafia leader wouldn't be the terrorist setting off attacks?" Price leaned back in his chair. It went silent before Gaz let out a small inhale, then an exhale.
"You know the attack that had happened a couple days ago? The one within food fair?" Gaz asked and Price nodded his head at the information, "Well I was there."
Price seemed surprised as he once more leaned back in to hear Gaz better, his interest becoming piqued.
"...Before the attack, Galileo...was being threatened by the same three men who caused the shootout. Y/n drove them away, but they lingered and followed every stand we went too....They weren't very smart about how to hide. From what I heard Y/n say, they were looking for someone. Who, I don't know. But the moment the attack happened, I went after Galileo...to apprehend him." Gaz looked back down to his abyssal black coffee in thought.
"Instead, I found him desperately looking for Y/n while helping stragglers. Not a single weapon on him or even a hint of bad intention. I decided to aid him, and even when he was shot in the leg by the one of the men, he was still dismissive about his own wellbeing. Only caring about Y/n...A father wouldn't put his own kid in danger, especially if I was supposed to be planned out..." Gaz explained the best to his limits, looking up at Price hopefully to see if he understood somewhat.
"...Hmm...It doesn't add up...none of it does..." Price grumbled, "We've gotten voice recordings from of Galileo...seen what he's looked like during the hostage situation in the London bank, and you've confirmed yourself that Y/n's father was indeed who we're looking for...Yet...he's the opposite of who we've been chasing.."
"Did he actually even take money from the bank...?" Gaz furrowed his brows in confusion.
"No. In fact, he left it there we he had escaped...as if he wanted us to find him..." Price grumbled in response, taking another drag from his cigar, thinking deeply.
