Ethan sat in his home office, the minutes ticking by as he stared at his phone. Sophia's message from earlier still weighed heavily on his mind. He knew he shouldn't be thinking about her, especially after the conversation he'd had with Emily that morning. But Sophia's pull on him was strong—too strong to ignore.

His phone buzzed again, pulling him from his thoughts. Another message from Sophia:

*Can we meet today? I need to see you.*

Ethan felt a surge of adrenaline. He knew this was dangerous, but the desire to see her, to be with her, was overwhelming. He quickly typed a response:

*I can meet you in an hour. Same place?*

Sophia's reply was immediate:

*Yes, see you then.*

Ethan exhaled slowly, his mind racing. He needed to come up with an excuse to leave the home office, one that wouldn't raise suspicion.

"Hey, I'm thinking of working through lunch today to catch up on some things at the office," he said, trying to keep his voice casual.

"That's fine, Ethan. Just don't overwork yourself. We have the whole weekend to spend together, remember?"

"I won't. I'll be home early tonight," Ethan assured her.He grabbed his jacket and made his way out of the house. The entire drive to meet Sophia, his heart pounded with a mix of anticipation and dread. He knew this was risky, but he couldn't help himself.

When he arrived at the park, Sophia was already there, sitting on the same bench where they had spoken days before. She looked up as he approached, her expression a mix of longing and uncertainty.

"Sophia," Ethan said softly, sitting down beside her. "You wanted to talk?"

Sophia nodded, her eyes searching his. "Ethan, I've been thinking a lot about us... about what you said. I hate the idea of being the other woman, but... I can't let you go. I'm willing to wait for you to figure things out with Emily, but I don't want to lose what we have."

Ethan felt a rush of relief, but it was tinged with guilt. "I don't want to lose you either," he admitted, taking her hand in his. "But this has to be discreet, Sophia. No one can know."Sophia hesitated, then nodded. "I understand. I'll wait for you, Ethan. I just... I need to know that this isn't temporary, that you're serious about us."

Ethan leaned in, his hand gently cupping her cheek. "I'm serious," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I just need time to sort things out with Emily. But I want this—us—to work."

Sophia's breath hitched as she looked into his eyes. "Then I'm willing to wait," she said softly.

Without another word, Ethan closed the distance between them, his lips capturing hers in a passionate kiss. The world around them seemed to disappear as he lost himself in the moment, the intensity of their connection washing over him. Sophia responded eagerly, her hands gripping his shoulders as she leaned into him.

For a moment, Ethan felt a sense of rightness in the embrace, as if this was where he was meant to be. But the guilt of what he was doing lingered in the back of his mind, a constant reminder of the precarious situation he had put himself in.

As the kiss deepened, Ethan's hands began to roam, tracing Sophia's body. She moaned softly into his mouth, her need for him clear in every touch, every movement.

After a few heated moments, Ethan reluctantly pulled away, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

Ethan kissed her one last time, a soft, lingering kiss that conveyed everything he couldn't put into words. "I'll take you home," he said quietly.

They walked to his car, the tension between them still palpable. Ethan was looking forward to leading a double life, he knew it couldn't last forever. But for now, he was willing to take the risk.

"Do you want to come up for a little while?" she asked, her voice soft and inviting.

"Just for a little while," he agreed, his voice barely above a whisper.

Sophia smiled, relief washing over her features, and they got out of the car together. Inside her apartment, the familiar scent of her perfume wrapped around him, and Ethan felt a strange sense of comfort as he stepped into her world once again.

They sat down on the couch, and Sophia leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder. "I've missed this," she whispered, her fingers tracing small patterns on his arm.

Ethan sighed, pulling her closer. "I've missed you too,"

Sophia shifted, turning to face him, her eyes searching his. "We'll make this work, Ethan," she said softly. "I'll wait for you, no matter how long it takes."

Ethan kissed her, savouring the warmth of her lips, the softness of her touch. The world outside seemed to disappear as he lost himself in her embrace. The tension between them grew as their kisses deepened, becoming more urgent. Ethan could feel the heat building between them, an undeniable chemistry that neither could resist. Sophia's hands began to explore, running up his chest, her fingers curling into his shirt as she pulled him closer.

Ethan responded in kind, his hands moving to cradle her face before trailing down her neck, feeling the rapid beat of her pulse beneath his fingertips.

"Sophia," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion as he pulled back to look into her eyes.

"I want you... even if it's just for a little while," she replied, her breath coming in short gasps.

Ethan leaned in, capturing her lips again as they surrendered to the moment. They allowed themselves to get lost in each other, the fire between them burning hotter with every passing second. Every touch, every kiss, deepened the connection they shared—a blend of longing and desire that had been building for far too long.

Slowly, Ethan removed Sophia's clothing, his hands caressing her skin with a tender reverence. As he explored her body, his touch became more intimate, guiding her to the edge of pleasure. With a deep breath, he drew her closer, their connection becoming even more profound as they moved together in perfect harmony.

When their passion had finally run its course, they lay together, their breathing slowly returning to normal. Sophia turned to face him, her eyes soft with affection. "Stay a little longer," she whispered, her voice filled with hope.

Ethan kissed her forehead, his heart heavy with conflicting emotions. "I can't," he said softly. "I need to go home."

She nodded, her disappointment clear, but she didn't argue. "I understand."

Ethan reluctantly pulled himself away from her, dressing quickly. He leaned down to kiss her one last time, a kiss filled with the unspoken promise that this wasn't the end.

"I'll see you soon," he whispered against her lips.

As he left her apartment, the warmth of her touch still lingered on his skin.

When he arrived home, Emily greeted him with a smile, her eyes filled with hope for the weekend they had planned together. Ethan pulled her into a hug. He was focused on Emily, to rebuild their relationship, but the memory of his time with Sophia remained.

The weekend stretched ahead of him, filled with adventures and promises to Emily.
