"It was good, but I didn't sleep much. I'm too excited for the show tonight," Remy replied, walking towards the baggage claim. "I can't wait to perform."
"I'm so proud of you," Drea said, her voice full of admiration. "I know you're going to be amazing out there. What's the plan after you get to the hotel?"
"I need to check in and freshen up," Remy said, her gaze scanning the terminal. "Then I'll probably grab a bite to eat before heading to the venue for a soundcheck. What about you? How's your day going?"
"I've been busy with the podcast and the speaking engagement," Drea said. "But I'm about to head to a place that's important to me. I'll fill you in later."
Remy's curiosity piqued. "Sounds intriguing. I'll be waiting for the details. What's the area like where you are heading?"
"It's a bit upscale but quiet," Drea said, her voice filled with a hint of secrecy. "I think you'll like it when you see it. I'll call you as soon as I'm done."
They chatted for a while longer as Remy waited for her luggage. The conversation was filled with shared excitement and love.
