"Did we really have to move here?" I groan looking over at my mom
"Yes. Fresh start for everyone" she smiles
"You mean home away from dad" my brother mumbles
My sister smacks the back of his head, grabbing a box and heading into the house with mom.
"She's doing this for us. Can't you just give her a break?" I say closing the car door
He rolls his eyes, grabbing a box and heading inside along with my mom and sister. I blow out a deep breather, following close behind him.
"What do you guys think?" Mom asks sitting the box in her hands on the kitchen counter
Looking around, it was very nice and spacious. Not usually something mom would go for but who was I to complain.
"It's nice mom" my sister says giving her a smile
My brother hurts before going upstairs to find his own room. My mom watches him, her face falling and sadness slowly creeping into her eyes.
"I'll talk to him" my sister says going after him
My mom sighs, looking around the house as if she was contemplating. My guess would be whether or not she made the right decision.
"It's great mom. Don't worry" I say hugging her
"I'm not honey. Want me to help with your room?"

"Hey" I say opening up my brothers door
He had two things set up so far. His bed and his projection light. His room was currently blue with stars littering the ceiling.
"Hey" he sighs sitting upside down
I close his door before joining him on his bed, upside down. We sit in silence, watching the stars on the ceiling.
"Go ahead and say it" he says breaking the silence
"Say what?" I ask turning towards him
"That I'm an asshole" he chuckles
"Why would i when you already know?" I joke
"Shut up Kai" he says hitting my forehead
"You could be a little nicer. She's trying her best at least" I point out
"If this is her best, I'd love to see what else she has up her sleeves" he scoffs
"Come on Declan. It could be worse" I roll my eyes
"You mean worse than her cheating on dad? Of the fact that her affair partner happens to be a woman?" He questions
"I know how you feel Dec. I've been upset with her too" I tell her honestly
"You sure have a funny way of showing it" he snaps
"Declan" I say sadly
