"Nervous?" Kendall asks
I nod silently watching student after student walk by us. We had to get to school earlier than usual.
"Don't worry little sister. I got you" Declan says throwing his arm around me
"Not mad at me anymore?" I ask him
"I was never mad at you. Annoyed? Yes but never mad" he says
I laugh as we walk to the office. It was thankfully not busy and had two ladies there looking as if they were waiting.
"Kendall, Declan, and Kairo?" One of the ladies asks
"That would be us" Kendall answers
"Great. I have all of your schedules here. I will be showing you all to your home rooms. First stop will be for Kairo since she is a junior and I'll show you two to the senior home room after" she says handing out our papers
She then gestures for us to follow. I follow behind Kendall and Declan silently not looking forward to being the new kid.
"Here you go Kairo" she says letting me go first
I look over at Kendall and Declan, both of them giving me thumbs up. I roll my eyes, before going in. Of course, once everyone hears the door open and I walk in the doorway, everyone turns to look at me.
"Everyone this is Kairo Blue. Today's her first day so please be welcoming" she says before slipping back out of the door
"Okay, that wasn't awkward at all. Welcome Kairo. I am Mr. James but everyone calls me Mr. J. You can take a seat anywhere" he says
I silently calm my nerves before walking to one of the last empty seats which happened to be in the last row. Lingering eyes continue to follow me, making me feel more awkward than normal.
"Can we please switch your hormonal gazes back towards me please. I feel awkward just watching you guys" Mr. J shudders playfully in disgust
Everyone chuckles before all eyes fall back on him. I finally was able to relax in my seat as he goes back to teaching.
"Now that I have your attention, can anyone tell me what I was saying last cause I have no clue" Mr. J says
"We were talking about the book we are supposed to start reading tomorrow" a random guy with glasses says
He had a light beard and a nose ring. His features were soft and his eyes are green. His lips fell into a boyish smirk making him look very attractive.
"Ahh yes. Uhh, hamlet! I will be passing out the books tomorrow but today, I will be going over some quotes just to get a feel of the book" he says
Everyone groans collectively as he turns off the lights and sets up the projector.
"Yes I know. I'm the worst. First quote: doubt thou the stars are fire; doubt that the sun doth move; doubt the truth be a liar, but never doubt I love. What is hamlet saying in the paragraph?" He asks
Not one person raises their hands and others look away at the mention of a question needing to be answered.
"New girl! What is hamlet trying to say?" He asks
I look around as everyone turns to look at me. Of course everyone has to look over at me at this point in time.
"He's declaring his love to someone?" I say but it comes out to be more of a question
"That is correct new girl. Now, next quote is.."

"How was your first three classes?" Declan asks meeting me at the table
"Not bad if you like people starring at you" I say smiling sarcastically
"Just ignore it. Has anyone messed with you?" He asks getting serious
"No Declan. How was your classes?" I ask biting into my apple
"About the same as yours but at least I know how to get people to stop" he says smirking
"And how did you manage that dear brother?" Kendall asks sitting down
"Like this. Hey! What the fuck are you looking at?" He snaps at the table next to us making everyone jump and turn away
"That's one way to do it" I mumble
"Do you have to be such a dick?" Kendall scoffs
"Do you have to be such a priss?" He asks in a smart tone
"Do you guys have to fight?" I ask rolling my eyes
"Sorry Kai" Kendall mumbles
"Hey dude! You still staying after school?"some guys asks running up to our table
"Yeah Luke. I just have to grab my bag out of the car" he tells him
He smiles at both Kendall and I before walking away.
"What's after school and why are you staying for it?" Kendall questions
"Lacrosse" he says
"Of course" she groans
"Does that mean we have to stay too?" I ask dreading the answer
"You guys sure do" he says smiling
"Dude" I groan
"Can't we just drive home and then come back-" Kendall says before he cuts her off
"Definitely not. The only one who drives the bronco is me" he says shutting her down
"You're such a loser" she says rolling her eyes
"Says the one who would be walking without me"
