"Hey" Peyton says walking beside me
After last night, Declan and I had talked about everything that has been going on these last few days.
"Hey" I say quietly
"Can we talk?" He asks
I nod, following him over to one of the picnic tables. I take a seat as he continues standing. He paces for a few minutes as everyone else passes by and heads inside.
"Look, I really can't be late today" I say trying to stand up to walk away
"Wait. I wanted to know if I could take you out on a proper date to makeup for last time and to apologize. Again" he says stopping me from leaving
"I don't know about that Peyton" I say unsure
"Think about it?" He pleads
I nod, walking away from him. I speed walk to my first class and make it by mere seconds. Mr. J then walks in. A coffee in one hand, a paper bag being held up by his mouth, and his work bag in the other hand.
"Good morning. Where did we leave off on Friday?" He asks confused
Everyone laughs before Lukas raises his hand to answer.
"We were on the last two chapter of hamlet and you showed up the beginning of the movie" he says
"Right, right. Who wants to read the last chapter?" He says smiling at us
"Not up to reading this morning?" I ask jokingly
"I am not. So again, someone please wanna read this last chapter?"

"Talk to Peyton today?" Declan asks
After my last class, I made sure to find him so I wouldn't have to walk alone. I also wasn't looking forward to being ambushed by Peyton again. I truly wasn't sure if I should go out with him again.
"I did. He wants a redo on our date so he can apologize properly" I tell him
"Are you gonna go?" He asks opening the door for me
"I don't know if I should" I shrug
"It's completely up to you but if he does something like this again, I'm telling you right now, you will not go on another date with him" he says giving me no choice
"I can't disagree with you there" I say agreeing
I didn't like that he was trying to make the final decision for me but I know he was right.
"Now, will you be okay waiting?" He asks
"Yeah. I've got the girls" I say point to Tasia and Leah on the stands
