"I think since my dress is long my hair should be up..but I like to have hair to flip, it does something to me." I explain, scrolling through Pinterest on my phone. He nods as if he can relate.
PROM is in four days and unfortunately Ramiero won't be able to come with me because he leaves tomorrow; he has to go do famous shit in Florida 'cause he has a press conference for his fight coming up.
Obviously when I say famous I'm exaggerating, he is getting a lot of attention at the moment though. He's on a streak and has all eyes on him, he's gained some muscle weight since he slowed down on smoking, he even moved up a weight class.
He's been taking a lot of these trips since January, I went with him for one over spring break. I quit my job at the café so it gave me a lot more free time and I quit cheer halfway through to focus on my career.
When I graduate I'll be able to travel with him more though, I can't wait.
"Ramiero, tu hermano está al teléfono!" His mom says while coming from the kitchen and we both turn our heads.
"¿De verdad? Déjame ver." He holds his hand out and she passes him the phone. He pulls it up to his ear and sits back in anticipation.
"What's up Anthony....Nah I'm good," He looks over at me and holds a finger up.
"I won't take long—"
"No go talk to your brother, tell him I said hi." I wave him off and turn my attention back to my phone.
"Aiya said hey...yeah she got prom on Friday, I can't go though I got this press conference in Miami...." His voice trails off as he gets up and jogs upstairs.
Anthony is in PRISON, he unfortunately got five years but he could've gotten up to ten; plus he has the opportunity to get out on good behavior so hopefully he takes advantage of that.
His parents were hurt but it's been almost a year so they've come to terms with it now and no shade but they seem a lot more relaxed. Why wouldn't they be? They know their son is off the street and out of trouble, I'd be glad too.
