I sat on my balcony looking down at Ayato and the knight. The two men sat in the courtyard going over the details.

I watched the two of them curious as to what they were discussing.

I had yet to hear the man's voice and now that I thought about it I hadn't even known his name. How could Ayato allow a man to be in charge of watching over me when we didn't even know anything about him?

Though I guess I was partly to blame. I had also agreed without thinking too far into things either, but Ayato was an intelligent man. He wouldn't do anything too risky. Not if it meant putting someone's life on the line.

"Princess."

I titled my head to the side. I had been so lost in my thoughts I hadn't noticed the maid who had been calling out to me.

"You have a visitor." She said.

"A visitor?" I asked confused.

She nodded and opened the door to the balcony further to reveal the guest.

I let out a sigh upon seeing her and crossed my arms, "Lady Yae what exactly brings you here?"

The foxy lady smiled deviously as she pushed past the maid and walked up to the railing. Leaning against it she looked down at the men.

"Don't be so formal Y/N you're embarrassing me, but what's wrong? Am I not allowed to visit ?"

Lady Yae or Yae Miko as I knew her was one of the richest nobles in the kingdom. Her title was inherited, but the money she had built mostly herself. Yae had a very active imagination and deciding to exploit those skills she built a novel tycoon. Her books sold like crazy and the more she wrote the more people wanted to read.

Her 'active imagination' was probably the reason for her visit.

I got up from my seat and approached standing by her side.

"No way Miko."

She chuckled, "Ah you know me so well, but..."

I raised my hand, "But nothing. Don't even think about whatever you're thinking. Remove any thoughts from your mind."

She sighed, "You're no fun princess. Don't you see what a perfect opportunity this is? Plus he seems to be quite the mysterious man. Rumors have already begun to spread."

I was aware of that already.

Many of the people who dwelled within the castle were intrigued by his presence, men and women alike.

The story of my capture had already spread like wildfire. Everyone knew what had happened by now. Which also meant they knew this was not a man they could take lightly.

Yae probably wanted to make a profit from my mini adventure.

"Yae if that's all you came for go down and talk to the man yourself, but good luck because so far he hasn't said a word to me."

She looked over a little surprised, "Really? Not a thing?"

"Nope not even a name," I replied.

Her eyes seemed to light up a bit and I was already regretting having mentioned that fact.

"Ohh I've got a good idea now. I'll write a lovely little story about a mysterious knight who goes around saving beautiful women..."

I interrupted her, "Yae please don't. Hes not someone my uncle is going to put on display."

"Oh? No? I assumed Ayato was going to make him a knight here."

So she didn't know much yet. That made sense considering the agreement had just been made this morning.

"He won't be fighting for uncle like that. He's going to be protecting me."

She gasped, "Really?? Haha! Oh my, this just keeps getting better and better!"

"Keep it down!" I hushed her.

Her loud talking had drawn the attention of the two down below. Ayato and the knight were now looking at the two of us. Yae noticed and gave the men a little wave.

Ayato smiled back at her while the knight remained unchanging. Eventually, they returned to their conversation.

I shook my head in embarrassment.

"Oh my gosh, Yae please keep it down."

She giggled and turned away to finally take a seat.

I let out a sigh and sat down as well.

"Well then," Yae said with a smile, "I've heard the story from the maids. Now I want to hear it from you."
