The next morning I woke up feeling great.
I couldn't help but smile.
It was a bright day and I was in a fantastic mood.
I felt a little giddy thinking about what had happened yesterday.
Not only had I finally got to leave the castle, but I now knew my knights name.
Capitano.
It was definitely a name I had never heard before. He must have been from a foreign land. Perhaps one that we hadn't encountered before.
But that didn't really matter.
He had finally spoken for the first time since he had rescued me.
His voice was very smooth but had a bit of a rough edge to it. I could tell he was older, but not sure by how many years.
There were still so many questions I had about him, but they could wait.
I rolled over to look at the time and my eyes flew open.
Oh no—!
I scrambled out of bed at the realization of the time.
My heart was pounding in my chest as I got up and hurried to get ready.
After rushing to get prepared for the day I carefully opened up the door to my bedroom after ensuring I was in proper condition.
Upon opening the door I spotted Capitano waiting patiently in the hall.
He leaned against the wall his arms crossed over one another as he stood silently.
People scurried past him trying to get their early morning chores done. Mostly they paid him no mind except for the few women who would glance in his direction.
When he noticed me I smiled.
"Good morning Capitano."
He only nodded his head in response, but his lack of conversation didn't damper my mood.
At least I had gotten to hear him yesterday.
I headed down the hallway and he followed after me making his way by my side.
I couldn't even imagine what was on the agenda for today.
