It didn't take me long to reach the training grounds.

I took a little longer enjoying the scenery of the garden as I went.

By the time I had arrived the two men had already disappeared further into the grounds.

I stopped just outside the gates and peeked inside.

Knights sparred with one another or practiced using dummies, but it was a little odd. A crowd had seemed to form in the yard.

It didn't take much to guess who must have been involved.

Opening up the gate I slipped inside and headed toward the crowd.

They were a lively bunch. All riled up and watching intensely.

I pushed my way through trying to get to the middle.

From where I was I could hear the sound of metal clashing. People began cheering excitedly shouting things I couldn't quite hear.

A few seconds later I could now see the source of the commotion.

In the middle of the crowd stood Thoma and the mysterious knight.

Both with swords in hand.

I felt my heart drop for a moment, until I noticed the big smile on Thoma's face.

I relaxed a little letting out a breath of relief.

They must have been sparring.

Thoma raised his sword and went in for a strike.

The knight blocked it with ease. Their blades clashing and rattling as they met.

"Hes amazing..."

"To think he could block a blow from Thoma??"

I had to admit it was definitely impressive. Thoma was Ayato's right hand. He was no weakling. This only went to prove the knights strength even further.

The knight pushed back hard enough to force Thoma to retreat a few steps.

He was still smiling as he looked at the man.

"Wow I must say you're very knowledgeable in the art of the sword. Well then lets see— Oh."

Thoma looked over in my direction before dropping his hand with the sword to his side.

"Y/N!" He said his smile brightening.

All eyes were on me and some of the knights surrounding me backed away to give me some space.

The mysterious knight also turned to look where Thoma was looking.

"Oh." I said a little embarrassed by all the attention, "Don't mind me. I was just enjoying the show."

Though it wasn't unusual for all eyes to be on me it was still a bit uncomfortable. That was definitely one thing that wouldn't be changing anytime soon.

Thoma chuckled, "You could learn a thing or two from him. You're pretty lucky Y/N."

I crossed my arms but didn't reply.

"Well," Thoma turned his attention back to the man, "You're welcome to use this place as you please. I'm sure nobody minds."

No one argued with Thoma rather they seemed enthusiastic about the idea.

Not sure I'd feel the same way. He'd probably wipe the floor with everyone here.

The man nodded his head before putting his sword away.

The crowd decided to disperse at the end of their little match. Everyone returned to what they had been doing before. Some still watched to see if anything else would happen.

Thoma approached me with the man following behind him.

"You and Ayato figure things out?" He asked.

I nodded my head, "Yes we did."

"Oh great! Well thats all I've got to show you for the day. Y/N, Ayato mentioned something about you wanting to go to town?"

Honestly I had said it as a spur of the moment thing, but now that I thought about it I definitely wanted to go.

"Yes."  I replied.

Well why don't you two go? Its a nice day and theres still a lot of time left. Ive got my own work to finish, but if you ever feel like sparing let me know."

The man nodded his head and Thoma gave me a pat on the shoulder before returning to the castle.

It was only the two of us now.

I looked up at the man feeling a little awkward.

"So you're okay with going to town?"

He nodded.

I smiled and clapped my hands together.

Finally, now I wouldn't have to be on anyone else's time. I could actually go and enjoy myself. I guess he would be there too. That made me wonder...

"Have you ever been to this town before?"

The man nodded again.

Oh. Well I guess if he was a traveler that shouldn't be too surprising.

I could only imagine all the places he had visited. It made me a little jealous.

I didn't allow myself to think about it too long though.

The more time I spent thinking the less time I had to go explore the town.

So with a smile on my face I turned away from the training grounds, "Come on lets go!"
