📍 tokyo, japanthe 5 women piled into the rental car gina was now driving to suzuka circuit. vivienne was in the passenger seat, with bethany, willow, and nicole in the back seats. bethany and nicole had stuck up conversation almost as soon as nicole entered their hotel room and hadn't stopped. it's like they made the morning's mission to be to learn everything about each other's families.
"oh my, bethany. please tell sierra i hope she gets better soon."
even willow had only heard about her 2nd cousin sierra a few times a year, let alone met her maybe 3 times in her life; yet they had learnt that much about each other that nicole was getting updates about willow's family she herself didn't even know of.
the singer was sat in the middle of the two mothers, which made it difficult to leave the 2-sided conversation. instead, she found entertainment by watching the car's navigation system and seeing what views she could from the front windshield.
for such a stress-packed day, everyone seemed to be rather calm. they had the race to attend in the morning and afternoon, then had to leave for willow's concert that would begin at 8:00. not to mention needing to eat and complete multiple checks before the show started that could take hours.
"but anyway, how is ms. pop star feeling about today?" nicole lightly nudged willow's arm to catch her attention, "hattie showed me a bunch of videos from people who went to the concerts the last 2 nights and it looked amazing."
willow smiled hearing her compliment, "it's been a lot to prep for this but i think it was worth it. today though, is going to be a tight one. i have to be at the arena by 6 so we can do soundcheck and eat and all that."
bethany joined in, "speaking of eating! yesterday i noticed this small sushi place a few blocks down from the venue, i'll get our dinner from there and we can try it."
willow nodded to her mom, happy hearing it was only a few blocks away compared to where they had gotten their dinner the night before almost an hour away from the venue.

gina parked the car just outside of suzuka circuit and everyone exited the car, their paddock passes being double and triple checked by the manager before they headed to the building.
"you know gi, sometimes i wonder how life would be if you weren't my manager. then i remember that if you weren't a manager i think you'd literally go insane, and that brings me peace."
gina questioned willow's words for a second before deciding to imagine she said 'you were made to be a manager and you're so good at your job i literally wouldn't be here without you'.
as the group made their was through the paddock to mclaren, willow was reminded of what nicole had said yesterday; how she and oscar should get together. if you had told her that a week ago, she would've said 'i'm your dreams'. but now? meeting him in person and actually getting to know him had changed her opinion. she wasn't completely against the idea being brought up.
it was awkward when it was his own mother, though. if she was saying that, you know it had to be partly true, if not completely true.
seeing the mclaren logo come into view, willow collected her thoughts and pushed certain ones to the back of her mind. today was going to a tough one.
