The next morning at the palace of Honseong, a stir rippled through the air as word spread of an unexpected visit. Jiyeon, dressed in her regal finery, paced nervously in her chambers, trying to gather herself. The timing couldn't have been worse. She had planned to leave Honseong soon after weakening Taehyung's influence, but now, with the arrival of Haebak's royal family, her plans would be delayed.

What startled her most wasn't just the arrival of her husband, Prince Junho, but the fact that he wasn't alone. With him were his cousins, none other than the princes of the great Jeon Kingdom-Prince Jeon Namjoon and his husband, Jeon Kim Seokjin. Both were known across the kingdoms for their power, their intellect, and their deeply rooted connections with the royal court of Euphoria. However, Jiyeon's attention was drawn to another figure who accompanied them, Jeon Jungkook.

Jungkook's presence unnerved her. She had heard of him-his strength, his authoritative aura, and the love he bore for Taehyung. His reputation was a peculiar blend of dominance and sweetness; his commanding presence was tempered by an almost childlike cuteness, a contradiction that made him even more dangerous to her plans. He was everything she couldn't control-powerful, driven, yet heartbreakingly devoted to Taehyung.

Jiyeon stood at the palace gates, awaiting their arrival, her stomach twisting with anxiety. As the royal carriage of Haebak approached, she forced a smile onto her lips. The gleaming, ornate carriage came to a halt, and the first to step out was her husband, Prince Junho. His tall, noble frame and sharp eyes gave away little emotion, but there was an air of quiet authority in the way he moved. He had always been distant, yet dutiful in his role, and today was no different.

Behind him followed Namjoon and Seokjin, their hands entwined in a way that spoke of a deep bond that Jiyeon could never hope to replicate. Namjoon's presence radiated intellect and strength, while Seokjin's gentle, calming aura seemed to soften his husband's sharper edges. Jiyeon could feel the tension rise as they approached, knowing full well that the Jeon Kingdom was a powerful ally of Euphoria, and by extension, Taehyung.

Finally, Jungkook emerged. Dressed in royal garb that highlighted his broad shoulders and athletic build, his expression was a mixture of stern determination and unmasked concern. But it was his eyes-those deep, dark eyes filled with unspoken love-that set Jiyeon on edge. His gaze swept across the palace courtyard, no doubt searching for any sign of Taehyung. She could tell immediately that he wasn't here for pleasantries.

As they approached her, Jiyeon dipped into a low curtsy, her voice sweet and diplomatic. "My lord, Prince Junho, it is an honor to welcome you and the esteemed Jeon family to Honseong."

Junho gave a curt nod, his expression unreadable. "We had not expected to arrive so soon, but circumstances called for it. I trust everything is in order, Jiyeon?"

Jiyeon's eyes flickered nervously, but she quickly composed herself. "Of course, my lord. Honseong is always prepared for your return."

Namjoon stepped forward, his eyes narrowing slightly as if sensing the tension. "We hope this visit is not an inconvenience, Lady Jiyeon. We've come on personal matters." His voice carried a warning undertone, and Jiyeon knew that he wasn't fooled by her mask of hospitality.

Seokjin, ever the diplomat, offered a warm smile. "We won't impose long, Jiyeon. Our brother Jungkook has come to visit someone very dear to him, and we couldn't keep him away any longer."

Jungkook, who had remained silent until now, stepped forward, his voice soft but firm. "Where is Taehyung?"

Jiyeon's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected Jungkook to be so direct. She forced a calm smile, though her mind raced for an excuse. "Prince Taehyung... he has been unwell. The court physician, Eunwoo, is tending to him. I assure you, he is in the best care."

Jungkook's eyes darkened. "Unwell? What do you mean? I need to see him. Now."

There was no mistaking the command in his voice, and Jiyeon could feel the pressure mounting. She glanced nervously at Junho, who remained silent, observing the exchange.

Namjoon stepped closer, his voice lower and laced with suspicion. "We heard troubling rumors, Lady Jiyeon. Whispers of mistreatment. I trust you have not allowed harm to befall Taehyung while we were away?"

Jiyeon's breath caught in her throat, but she quickly masked her fear with indignation. "Of course not! Prince Taehyung is... being treated with the utmost care. He is simply recovering from illness."

Before she could say more, Jungkook's patience snapped. He brushed past her without waiting for permission, his eyes blazing with determination. "I won't wait for your excuses. I'm going to see him."

Namjoon and Seokjin exchanged a glance, both silently supporting Jungkook's decision. Jiyeon, realizing she had no control over the situation, hurried after them, her mind whirling with fear of what they might find.

As they made their way through the palace halls, Jungkook's heart raced. He had heard of Taehyung's struggles, but he hadn't imagined it would be this bad. The moment they reached the room where Taehyung was being held, Jungkook pushed the doors open with a force that startled even Namjoon.

Inside, his eyes immediately fell on the fragile figure lying on the bed. Taehyung, his beautiful, radiant Taehyung, was barely recognizable. His once-vibrant skin was pale, his body frail and covered in bandages, and his face was marred by the pain of his injuries. Jungkook's heart shattered at the sight.

Without a word, he rushed to Taehyung's side, gently taking his hand, his touch trembling with a mixture of love and rage. "Tae..." he whispered, his voice breaking. "I'm here now. I won't let anyone hurt you again."

Taehyung stirred weakly at the sound of his voice, his eyes fluttering open for just a moment. His gaze met Jungkook's, and a faint, broken smile graced his lips. "Jungkook...S- sorry for breaking the p...promise ....."

Tears filled Jungkook's eyes as he pressed a kiss to Taehyung's hand. "I'm here, Tae. I'll always be here don't talk it will hurt my love ...."

Namjoon and Seokjin stood by the doorway, their expressions grim as they took in the scene. Jiyeon, standing behind them, felt the weight of their judgment bearing down on her. She knew, in that moment, that there would be no more hiding. The truth was laid bare, and with Jungkook's arrival, her reign of cruelty over Taehyung was over.

But the question lingered in her mind: what would happen next?
