Jiyeon’s mind raced as the Jeons settled into their chambers. What would happen next? The sudden appearance of Jungkook and his family had shaken her deeply. The question she feared most lingered in her mind: what would they do if they found out what she had done to Taehyung?

But it wasn’t just Jiyeon who noticed the quiet urgency in the palace. Queen Mother Yoona, who had been silently mourning the loss of her son’s title and dignity, found a spark of hope reigniting as she saw Jungkook among the Jeons. She had known of Taehyung’s bond with the young prince of Jeon, and as she watched Jungkook’s every movement, she couldn’t help but feel comforted. Jungkook’s presence brought with it a quiet determination—something she hadn’t seen in anyone else since her son’s fall from grace.

Later that afternoon, as the Jeon family prepared to settle in, Queen Mother Yoona made a personal visit to the wing where they were staying. Her heart warmed at the sight of Jungkook. He had grown into a fine young man, no longer the mischievous child she remembered, but a prince filled with love and concern for her Taehyungie. In her eyes, Jungkook had always been an adorable child, but now, there was more to him—strength, loyalty, and a deep affection that was impossible to ignore.

“Prince Jungkook,” Yoona greeted with a gentle smile as she entered the room. “I’m so glad you’ve come.”

Jungkook bowed deeply, his heart fluttering with nervousness. “Queen Mother, it is an honor to be here.”

Yoona’s gaze softened as she looked him over. There was something about Jungkook that reminded her of the hope she had long thought lost. “You’ve grown into a fine prince. Taehyung was fortunate to have someone like you by his side.”

Jungkook’s eyes darkened at the mention of Taehyung. “I would do anything for him,” he said softly. “I just want to see him again.”

Yoona’s heart swelled with emotion. She had always known her son wasn’t alone in this world, but seeing Jungkook’s determination brought her a rare moment of peace. She could see it in his eyes—Jungkook wasn’t just here for answers. He was here for Taehyung, and Yoona knew her son needed him more than ever.

She reached out, gently patting Jungkook’s arm. “You will see him, child,” she whispered. “I believe Taehyung needs you now more than ever. I’ve watched him suffer in silence, but I also know his heart. He may be quiet, but he’s been waiting for you.”

Namjoon and Seokjin, who had been sitting nearby, exchanged a glance. They, too, understood the gravity of what was happening. The Jeons had always cared deeply for Taehyung, but seeing Jungkook’s personal devotion to him filled them with pride.

Yoona turned her attention to Namjoon and Seokjin. “And you two,” she said with a small smile, “have raised a family that others admire. I’m proud to know you all.”

Seokjin bowed his head humbly. “Queen Mother, we only want what is best for Taehyung. Jungkook has been restless ever since we heard of what happened.”

Yoona’s gaze returned to Jungkook. “I know, and I believe Taehyung feels the same. He may not say much, but I can see it in his eyes whenever your name is mentioned.” She chuckled lightly, “My Taehyungie always had a way with words, but when it comes to you, Jungkook, he’s silent. That says more than any words could.”

Jungkook blushed under the weight of her words. He hadn’t realized how deeply Taehyung’s feelings ran for him, but hearing it from the Queen Mother herself made his heart swell.

As the conversation flowed, Queen Mother Yoona took special care to speak to Jungkook directly. Her voice was gentle and filled with warmth, and she spoke as if he were already part of her family. The more they talked, the more Jungkook felt his resolve strengthen. He had to save Taehyung from whatever torment he was going through. And, more than that, he had to make sure Taehyung knew he wasn’t alone.
