The sun was just beginning to rise as the familiar student, Jack, walked down the street to his new school with his friend. Soon enough, the air filled up with childrens laughter, and Jack frowned. "I did not miss this at all," he said, "Tell me about it," answered the blonde haired boy next to him, who was getting slightly nervous. These two boys met not so long ago and were both relieved when they found out that they were both going to the same school. The taller boy with slightly wavy brown hair glimpsed at his friend, Sam, to reassure him before walking inside and preparing for the long day he had ahead of himself.
On the other hand, Emma was already inside the school trying to figure out where she was supposed to go. She didn't look into her schedule or check where any of her classes were the day before because she had been pretty busy finishing one of the many books she's read. After finding her locker and preparing for the first period, Emma started looking around the hallways filled with people, seeing if she didn't recognise anybody who could possibly help her.
Jack was already on the way to his first class, but it was really hard to push through the crowds of people. Although there were thousands of students, he couldn't overlook the confused girl standing by the lockers, who was looking almost worried as if something had happened to her. Jack slowed down to see her more clearly. She was wearing a cosy garnet red sweater and dark blue faded jeans. Her long hair was tied in a low bun. It was a mess, but she still looked neat and clean. She had soft round lips and a button nose. And her eyes - shit. His face heated up, realising that he's stopped walking and was now checking out a random girl he didn't even know. Damn it. Jack thought to himself before walking over to her, asking, "Are you okay? Do you need help?" The blonde girl turned around to face him. Her eyes looked so simple from afar, but now, when Jack was closer, he couldn't help but explore them because of how complicated they actually were. "Yeah, I'm just a little lost.." she answered, finally starting to feel a little hopeful. Jack seemed very familiar to Emma like she's already seen him somewhere. He looked so tired, as if he hadn't slept in days, but his features were still easy to admire. Even tho the alley was filled with loud students, it felt like they were the only one there. "What's your first lesson?" Jack said, now breaking the tension. "English". The boy raised his eyebrows. "Me too." Emma felt relieved that somebody could actually lead her to the classroom. They shared a soft smile before agreeing to walk together. "So.. what's your name?"- "Jack, you?"- "Emma"... they eventually faded into the crowd as Jack tried to shake off the weird feeling that was forming inside his stomach.
