The next day Jack came to school with one simple goal. Find Emma, apologize and explain. He wanted to fix their friendship so he searched the entire school. The yard, all classes she had that day, the canteen and lastly the library, but she wasn't anywhere. The boy sat down on a bench not wanting to eat his lunch. He pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts to find Emma's number. He started texting her, but the messages wouldn't go through. He was terrified. What if something had happend to her. The last thing he wanted to do was to hurt her. He ruined everythi- "Yo bro, why are you not eating? Lunch is surprisingly pretty good today." His friend pointed out, looking at him from the sidewalk. "Oh yeah, I will eat it soon." He smiled softly, glancing at his friend. He did eat, but not much.
Emma hasn't been feeling great either. She stayed home, thinking about everything that's happend. Of course she enjoyed the kiss and she hated the fact that she did. She shouldn't.
Later that day, when Jack finally returned home, he laid back on his bed, wanting to cover himself up and never walk outside again, but he knew he had to. He had to try, and so he did.
1 day passed, no sign of Emma. 2nd day passed, still the same. 3rd and 4th, and then a whole week passed without seeing her face anywhere. It almost seemed like she moved away, so Jack eventually gave up and stopped trying. He was feeling okay tho, Christmas was coming in a month, and he was looking forward to it. However, he didn't expect what an amazing pre-Christmas present he was about to get the next day.
