The chilly breeze hit Emma's face as she stepped out of her house. "Shit. When did it get so cold." She mumbled to herself before walking down the stairs towards the road. Her boyfriend was supposed to pick her up today. She glanced at the time on her watch as she waited impatiently. He got there eventually and let the girl inside. "Hi babe, sorry I'm late. I needed to clean up the house after yesterday, you know." He said as she sat inside the warm car, shivering. "Yeah, it's okay. I bet the party was fun." -"Hell yea, it was. You should've come." He uttered, chuckling as they drove away towards the school.
Jack was just crossing the road when they arrived. "Oh! You can drop me here." -"You sure?" -"Yeah, definitely." "Alright." He pulled over and smiled at the girl. She kissed his cheek before stepping outside. "Thank you for the ride." She said before leaving. "Hey! Jack! Wait up." She yelled at the taller boy. He turned around, watching Emma as she ran over to him. "Hi." He smiled when she stopped in front of him, trying to catch her breath. "Hi." She spat out, laughing. Jack furrowed his eyebrows; "Aren't you cold?" He declared, pointing at her neck. "Just a little bit." She affirmed, glimpsing at herself. "Here." He said, handing her his grey scarf. The girl hesitated before accepting it and wrapping it around her neck, pulling out her long hair. It was so comfortable and warm. "Thanks." She conveyed, pouting her lips and softly smiling. "Yeah, of course." Jack answered before walking inside the school together with Emma following him. She started wearing the scarf every day, and it never failed to light up Jack's mood.
