Jack rapidly opened his eyes and looked at his phone to check the time after just waking up. The clock read [8:05]. 𝘏𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚. Jack rushed over to his closet to dress up and grabbed a snack in the kitchen to eat on the way to school. Luckily, he made it to the bus stop on time and got inside the vehicle, still trying to catch his breath.
Once he arrived, he quickly walked over to the lockers to get ready for his first class. The lesson has already started, yet he still got interrupted many times by constant loud chattering. Jack grabbed his books and went to check it out annoyed because of the noise. However, his expression changed when he recognised who it was. He saw Emma and some random dude who was yelling at her, throwing his hands around. She looked furious but so hurt at the same time. Nevertheless, the bickering was soon over, and the guy left, so Jack could finally find out what happened. He quickly walked up to her, worried and confused. It looked almost like she was about to have a breakdown when she saw him. "Hey, are you okay? Who was that? What happened?" Jack started asking her questions all nervous, but it was too much pressure for the girl to handle, so she just started crying quietly. She tried to explain, but the boy didn't understand anything she was saying, so he sat her down on a bench and held her hand, trying to calm her down before she could start crying even more.
Emma eventually chilled out and slowly started to speak. "That guy you saw me speaking to is.. my boyfriend." The boy raised his eyebrows, trying to comprehend what she just said. Those words hurt more than he wanted them to. He let go of her hand, still trying to concentrate. "And uhm.. he isn't always like this. He's actually super sweet, but.." she froze, trying to form a sentence slowly glimpsing at the boy who looked concerned, trying to understand what happened. She took a deep breath and continued talking, "He was mad that I didn't come to one of the many parties he's hosted but he knows damn well that i am in fact NOT a party person." -"I'm so sorry." Jack said softly, "No, it's okay. You don't need to worry. I'm going to.. sort it out with him." She nodded, faking a smile, but the boy knew she was hurt and was just about to speak when a loud ring interrupted him. The hallways filled up with students and Emma frowned as she watched them wander around. "Did we just skip class?" she said, glancing at Jack. "Holy shit. We did," He answered, not looking very happy about it either. They quickly grabbed their bags and left without having a proper chance to speak, both hurt because of what happened.
