"i am here to ask if you will allow us to extract your counterpart from unit-01" she said
"fine, but it will be done down here, i don't trust you one bit" i said, she nodded her agreement and a few hours later, three of his shinji's EVAs were watching the group of technicians as they worked on pulling their shinji ikari from the core of their unit-01, which shinji had dubbed unit-01.2, for ease of understanding
after that, misato returned to her ship, and rei began her part
"rei can you still communicate" i asked
"i can, i've made connection to my counterpart in the Mk.09, i am using it to facilitate the connection with units that aren't decapitated" rei said, i nodded a few moments later
"connection to Mk.10 established, assuming control, i have control, i am spreading my influence" she said
"control over Mk.11 and MK.12 confirmed, i am now attempting to assume control over unit-13" rei said
"good, rei good job"" i said
"i am encountering more resistance for the unit-13 then with the others" she said then paused
"curious, the resistance has cleared completely, i now have control over the unit-13" she said, that put me on guard
"bring them here, rei" i said
"affirmative" she said, as she relayed the orders
"they will arrive in a matter of hours" i said
"i want everyone on the guard, hikari you are the new pilot to the unit-02R" i said, asuka smiled pleased by that
"toji for now you will take over the Mk.06, rei you will take over unit-01.2" i said
"right/understood" the two said at the same time
a few hours later the five pilots were in their EVAs as the three ships arrived
"rei bring unit-13 down here" i said, she nodded as unit-13 jumped off one of the ships and walked towards the group walking up to unit-01, shinji pulled out his progknife and leveled it to where the EVA's core should be he then pushed through until the blade was touching the metal armor of the EVA, he nodded satisfied before returning the knife to it's holster in his shoulder armor
"now how do we get up there" i asked
"allow me commander" rei said, as the six EVAs began to levitate, until they were standing comfortably aboard the lead ship
"this is the vessel controlled by the Mk.10" rei said
"right let's get inside and disembark, we can disembark right" i asked rei who nodded
"the ship has corridors leading from the Mk.10 to the main bridge, but the Mk.10 is the only thing capable of controlling these ships" rei said, i nodded, as we all disembarked our EVAs and made our way to the bridge to meet a familiar face
"he wondered how you managed to gain control over his EVAs you hijacked the ayanami series, a rather bold, but brilliant plan" kozo fuyutsuki said
"professor" i said
"you are not our shinji ikari, your a lot more confident in yourself for one thing" he said
"what are we to do with you" i asked
"simply drop me off with WILLE, it seems it is time i paid for my crimes" he said, i nodded to rei who left the bridge, two hours later she returned, with someone in tow
"hello everyone, i'm mari 'illustrious' makinami, the pilot of unit-08" she said introducing herself
"why are you here" i asked
"i'm joining you of course, with the main players out of the way misato thinks this world should go the same way you did and since you have collect all the true EVAs of this world, she thinks they can handle the nemesis series without, time will tell if she is right" mari said
"what do you all think" i asked
"an extra set of hands would be useful" hikari said thoughtfully
"i don't like her, but fine she can come" asuka said
"awe, your just like my princess" mari said
"your princess" asuka asked in a disgusted tone
"yep, though i will say, you are nothing like puppy was, i think i'll need a new nickname for you" she said
"toji, what do you think" i asked
"she adds something that none of us have been able to add, she is a lot more jovial then we are" toji said
"rei" i asked
"an extra EVA and pilot will make us easier to defend ourselves and each other" rei said
"well that settles it, rei can these units help us facilitate a dirac jump" i asked, she nodded
"the units of adam can, as can mari's unit-08" she said
"alright then, i want each of you not actively piloting one of these adam units to pair up with one in case we are separated, there are five of them and five of us, so perfect, rei if you would make the jump" i said
"understood" she said as she closed her eyes and concentrated, taking the group through a very bumpy ride
