Don't Ever Say I Wasn't There For You

At night, Agents, Willoughby and Mason drives the captured Stormi and Knuckles around the mountains and the forest to a Ski Resort. They parked their van at the entrance of the property.

Both agents exit the vehicle and walked to the back of the van, looking up at the sign.

"IceCap Ski Resort. This is where the buyer wants to do the exchange?" Agent Mason asked.

"He makes the rules, not us." Agent Willoughby says. "Right, help me unload the hedgehog and the echidna."

With that, Agent Mason opens the van's trunk. Wade, secretly drives up into the parking lot of the ski resort in his police car. He then turns off his headlights to avoid being detected. He puts his car on park and sees Stormi and Knuckles in cages being wheeled into the ski resort motel.

"Alright, little buddies. I'm coming for ya." Wade sighs, tapping the steering wheel. "Come on, Wade. You can do this. You might not be a warrior yet, but you are a deputy. In fact, you're one of the greatest deputies in the history of law enforcement. And normally, in a situation like this, you'd call for backup. But this Montana, so...you are the backup."

He sighs. "Rely on your instincts. Think back to your police training. You are prepared for this."

A flashback shows and we see Wade watching the 1995 movie "Bad boys." He watches the scene where actor, Mike Lowery (Will Smith) saves Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) from getting hit by a car. He pulls out his gun and shoots at the car before turning to his partner.

"Don't ever say I wasn't there for you."

Wade starts to write in his police training notebook. "Cool line."

Back at the present, Wade looks ahead, knowing he is definitely not prepared for this.

"I am extremely unprepared for this.."

Inside the Ski resort, Knuckles wakes up from his unconsciousness. He looks around and sees that the room is very dark. He sees Stormi in a ball in her cage.

"Stormi?" Knuckles calls out. Stormi gets out from her ball form.

"Knuckles!" She smiles. "You're okay!"

"Where have they taken us..? A dungeon? A torture chamber?!"

"A pit so deep that no one will ever hear our screams?" Stormi questioned.

The lights turn on and it was revealed that they were in a cozy ski resort, with soft jazz music playing in the background. Agent Mason sitting on the couch in front of them.

"Oh." Knuckles says.

"This is quite nice, actually." Stormi says, liking the scenery.

"Damn right." Agent Mason says. "Always pictured myself living in a place like this one day. Now, I don't know how to ski, but with a house like this, you bet I can learn." He smirked.

With Wade, he's still sitting in his car, figuring out a plan.

"All you have to do is sneak into the bad guy's lair, try not to get yourself killed by their superpowered weapons, and then save your cool new best friends. What could possibly go wrong?"

He looked at the gauntlet he took from the bowling alley that was sitting on the passenger seat. "Come on, Wade. What would Knuckles and Stormi do? They'd come up with an awesome rescue plan."

Knuckles was meditating in his cage, while silently humming to himself.

"Ah..I am visualizing my inevitable escape plan and your brutal destruction at my hands." He started to laugh maniacally while Stormi and Agent Mason give him a look.
