45. Hawai

Jungkook took a deep breath. "Hey Taehyung?", Jungkook quavered. Taehyung was sipping his drink. Not waiting for a reply Jungkook continued, "I just...wanted to ask if you were mad... that I got the part and you didn't...."Gently setting his drink down, Taehyung ruffled his own hair chuckling."Of course I'm not mad Jungkook....do I look mad?", Jungkook shook his head, a slight pout rested on his face.Taehyung sighed "Jungkook, I'm famous. I have countless auditions lined up for me. You however deserve such an important role. You have really worked hard. Of course I was...surprised at first, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I'm really proud of you".Jungkook looked back up, his cheeks pink."Really?" he stammered."Yeah! I was just sad that I couldn't act with you again Jungkook, and also....aren't you going to Hawaii?".

Jungkook's smile faded into a slightly annoyed expression. "Yeah...In two days...".

"Two days?', Taehyung repeated, astonished by the short time until then.Taehyung continued "See...I'm just sad we will be apart from each other for so long--". Taehyung abruptly stopped himself. What was he saying?They were friends. Friends, Taehyung repeated in his head. It wasn't to abnormal to tell a friend he would miss them, but the way Taehyung was doing it....he didn't want to scare Jungkook away. Every Once in awhile he caught himself intensely staring and that's what he was just doing. Taehyung shifted his gaze to the other tables around him.Out of nowhere he heard Jungkook start to talk. His tone had changed, it was less hesitant and nervous."You know...Taehyung....I do have a plus one". Jungkook continued silkily, "I was going to bring Namjoon, but....I think me and you would have more...fun".Taehyung turned towards Jungkook again to find that same stare he caught himself giving, mirrored perfectly."Hey Jungkook...what were you going to tell me earlier?", Taehyung suddenly asked. He would accept Jungkook's implicit offer, but first he had to know for sure. If this would be a trip as friends, or....maybe something else? It all depended on what Jungkook was actually going to tell him.Jungkook lost his cool by this sudden question, his hands fell to his lap as he huffed "I..I..I'll tell you later Taehyung....now's not a good time...". Jungkook somehow lost his courage. He had forgot about that. He had gotten distracted by his knew role, and....going to Hawaii. For some reason, he just....didn't feel ready just yet.Maybe after Hawaii? He didn't want to confess, then leave for a month. But also....if Taehyung came with him as his plus one....that would work. But what if Taehyung turned him down?All of a sudden Jungkook felt a rush, and he was back to square one. That one thought: What if Taehyung turned me down? seemed to completely take away his worked up courage. Before Jimin had made him feel better about that factor, but now.....to much was going on. Jungkook started to panic."Maybe I should bring Namjoon actually.....I don't really trust him alone at our apartment...".Taehyung frowned. He was so close. So....close. What just happened? Jungkook had just gave him the most luring look he had ever seen and kind of invited him to Hawaii?After a heavy moment Taehyung started to realize that Jungkook was flustered.Sighing Taehyung nobly changed to subject."Hey Jungkook, do you want a drink? It's on me"."I guess....", Jungkook pouted."What do you want?", Taehyung asked.For some reason Jungkook looked around him. Bringing his gaze back to Taehyung he curiously wondered, as he grabbed Taehyung drink from his hands, "What are you drinking?".Jungkook took sip, and looked surprised."This isn't alcoholic...". His lips parted showing his disbelief.Nodding, Taehyung smiled "Uh...yeah".Jungkook gave Taehyung's drink back to him, as he he got an urge to ask just one question."Why would you go to a bar if you weren't going to get something alcoholic?".Taehyung felt flushed. "Well....I don't really know actually", he calmly laughed at himself.Jungkook continued "Well....I changed my mind I don't really want anything...you seem to have enough of you...soda. How about we share?"."I guess....if you want", Taehyung returned hesitantly.Grabbing Taehyung's drink again, Taehyung watched as Jungkook's plush lips glistened from his previous sip. His lips were so red. Taehyung wasn't sure if they were tinted by the red drink, or it was natural. Either way Taehyung couldn't stop staring.Putting Taehyung's drink back in front of him, Jungkook looked straight at Taehyung. His gaze wasn't necessarily intense, but more soft.....and...long.Jungkook's arms were crossed on the table, as the rest of him leaned forward. Jungkook's naturally pouty, glossy lips, were pursed very slightly. It almost looked like he was waiting for Taehyung to kiss him. Making Taehyung heart skip a beat, Jungkook's perky eyes, shined in his direction.Jungkook's gaze was obviously moving though. It made Taehyung freeze up a little bit, as Jungkook went from Taehyung's eyes, to.....maybe his lips, and all the way down to Taehyung shirt.All of a sudden, gaining energy Jungkook commented, "Hey Taehyung, just to let you know in this lighting, your shirt is kinda see through..." Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows in confusion."Um Jungkook.....my shirts black...."."Yeah, but...it's REALLY thin, like....REALLY thin", Jungkook smiled to himself.Usually Taehyung would be a bit embarrassed, but Jungkook's amusing mood only made Taehyung laugh. Taehyung still grabbed his jacket behind him, slipping it on.Surprising Taehyung, just as he put his first arm thought his coats sleeve Jungkook cried, "What are you doing Taehyung!"."Um....putting on...my coat? You just said my shirt was see through"."I didn't say it looked bad though!".Still putting on his coat Taehyung blushed, but as he zipped it up all the way Jungkook playfully smirked, "HMF, well do what you want...I guess".Squarely smiling at Jungkook, Taehyung teased, "Wow....maybe they did put something in my drink......your acting weird all of a sudden..".Jungkook smiled back, "I'm just saying you don't have to put your coat on, and it's only kind of see through. I have seen you shirtless many times anyways..."."Many times? I'm pretty sure only once.....besides I don't want everyone else to see my as you said 'very thin, see through' shirt", Taehyung laughedThinking Jungkook hummed, "Let me think.....at the cabin...obviously, and also....remember when I was robbed?"Surprised by Jungkook upbeat tone when bringing up the sad fact that he was robbed, Taehyung gave a slight nod. Not really sure where Jungkook was going."Well," he continued. "When you came out of the shower I was in your kitchen and saw you! SO that makes two times!"Taehyung's face reddened."Oh...I didn't know you saw me then.."Jungkook's goofy smile widened, as he resumed innocently staring, making Taehyung feel more flustered.-----------Bogum was on his way home as he thought about what to do for the villain part. He had been pondering this for a while, and had actually already held an audition for the villian, but no-one suited his liking so he would be doing another one. He also also needed someone who would act well with Jungkook.Tonight, however, he thought he found what he was looking for.When talking to Jungkook he said how this Kim Taehyung didn't do good at his audition. He was being only partly truthful. Yes, Taehyung would not have suited the character of the lead, and he did seem to not really be trying. Though, now that he thought about it more thoroughly, Taehyung might suit another role. Specifically the villain, but could this work?-----------"So Jungkook, do you need a ride home?", Taehyung asked, as he realized how late it was starting to become.Shaking his head Jungkook bubbled politely, "No, Namjoon let me borrow his car"."Oh, I think I parked right next to you then!""Do you want to walk out together then?"Taehyung smiled back, "Of course!".Both standing up they started to walk out. They had been at the bar for a while, and it was starting to become late. Although it was sad for both of them to part ways.Jungkook would be leaving to Hawaii soon, and it was highly doubted they would be able to spend much time together before then.Just before officially saying goodbye Jungkook hesitated, "Taehyung..um...maybe we can hangout before I leave for Hawaii...?"."I'd love to....Bye Jungkook!", he ended as he got into his car. Waving goodbye to each other Taehyung pulled out first, a bit glumly.Taehyung just wished he would know if Jungkook felt the same way for him or not. He just wished something could really happen. And what Taehyung really wanted was to kiss Jungkook, and not because a script said so, but because they both wanted to.
