Lumin POV:It's Friday. The first week of school has ran its course and it's officially lunch time. Yippee.
"Oh yeah! I never asked, I mean, I never pay attention to grudgby and stuff usually but, I was wondering, did we ever find out which one won?" River asks as we walk to the lunchroom.
"Huh?"
"You know, during the grudgby game? Before the break? before we had to... uh... leave...?" River smiles sheepishly.
"Oh, Glandus won. We probably would have pounded their asses to the ground if I didn't leave so suddenly, cause I was totally carrying the team." I shrug.
...
...
...
"I'm sorry." River rubs his arm and looks the other way.
I blink and look over at him.
"What do you mean?" I furrow my eyebrows.
He sweats and glances at me slightly and then back down at the ground awkwardly.
"Well it's kinda my fault... you probably would have won if it weren't for me being all... well... stupid I guess." He smiles and laughs a little self deprecatingly.
...
I blink.
"Cause like you said you were probably carrying the team and-"
"Nah nah, It doesn't matter, you were all fucked up and I was already pissed at Liam for doing that in the first place when I specifically told him not to. It's just a dumb game. Sure I fucking love grudgby n all but..." I shove my hands in my pockets.
...
"Hehe, well... can't let you get too weird around my girlfriend." I laugh.
River smiles awkwardly and scratches the back of his neck.
"Besides I didn't want you to think it was me or some shit or I helped contribute to it or something since Liam is my friend." I shrug.
River glances at me.
I grin.
"So yea, don't worry about it! Besides Glandus is pretty cool anyway." I say.
"Really? Usually you're so excited when it comes to getting in a match with them. I thought you were really competitive when it comes to them." River says.
