C-5 If Only

Morgie POV:

I spent all of last night convincing myself that I did not have a crush on Bridget.

It didn't work.

There is just something about her that I like so much. On the bright side, everything is fine between Hades and Maleficent. After school today, them two, Bridget, and I all hung out in the courtyard. Bridget had brought along Giselle, who apparently was already friends with Hades. I guess that's was who Maleficent was jealous of. 

"I swear, history is the worst subject of all time." Giselle said. "Yep. I agree. If Mrs. Joyce gives me a 50% on another assignment it turned in, someones tuning into a beef stick." Hades shot back.  "Okay. Where should I start about how bad Mr. Merlin is." Bridget said. I was surprised. Come on, a perfect princess talking trash about a teacher/principal! That's not something you see everyday. "Okay, for real though!" Maleficent laughed. 

I turned around and saw Hook watching us through the bushes. He ran away as soon as I saw him. Something has been up with him lately. He's been very dismissive about literally anything brought up. Thinking back on it he looked upset..? That's not normal. He usually shows little to no emotion whatsoever. I decided that I needed to talk to him.

That night, past curfew, I snuck over to his dorm. Before I knocked, I looked through the peephole. He was on his phone. I quietly knocked on the door, hoping not to get caught by Merlin or another teacher. There were faint footsteps going towards the door until it opened and I smiled. "Can I come in?"

Hook let me in. Before saying anything, I noticed that his face was red. Not like a blushy red, like a crying red. I decided to break the silence. "Are you okay?" I asked. "I saw you earlier and you looked upset and your face is-" "I'm fine." Hook said, annoyed. "Something is obviously wrong. Come on, you can tell me. We're best friends right." I pleaded, somewhat desperately. "I'm jealous okay! Ever since you started hanging out with Bridget, Uliana has expected more from me. And now that Hades and Maleficent also are with you, Uli thinks of me as like a servant! What's worse is that Maleficent told me that Hades and her are going to quit on the VK's because they actually like Bridget, and I think that you are also going to. I just can't with this anymore!" He let out, finally. Hook looked at me and gave me the same look Hades did when Maleficent almost broke up with him. "I feel like all my friends are leaving me. Hades, Maleficent, you..." He finished.

I hugged him. With all of my might. "I'm so sorry. I didn't understand what you were going through. How about I spend the night tonight?" I asked. Leaving him alone in this state just wasn't an option. He agreed and I set up a spot for me on his couch. "Hey Morgs, do you like someone?" Hook asked me. My face turned a light, subtle shade of pink. It wasn't very noticeable, but it was there. "Yeah, I guess," I replied, trying to dodge what I knew would be his next question. "Who?" He said, looking at me dead in the eye. Damn it, he asked the question. I decided to answer with a, "Wouldn't you like to know," and he blushed a bi- WAIT A SECOND! Does James Hook like ME!! 

I didn't want to hurt him, but if he doesn't think I know then technically it's not my fault, right? I sighed and told him the truth. "Okay look. This is just between me and you. I think- no I do, like Bridget." He looked kind of upset. "Oh. So are you going to quit on Uliana?" Hook asked me, while he picked at his teeth with his hook hand. "I'm not sure." I answered. He was obviously upset so I told him I was tired. We both laid down in our spots silently trying to sleep.

An hour passed, and I was still awake. Thoughts of Bridget and Hook swirling in my mind. I was now aware that I liked Bridget, but Hook liking me was, unexpected. I don't know how to feel about that. I noticed that Hook had fell asleep with his phone on so I got up to turn it off. When I looked at the screen, it said "💕My Crush💕 28 photos, 5 videos." I know I shouldn't have, but I clicked on the album. On the screen popped up lots of pictures of me, and a few videos. I decided to turn off his phone and go to sleep.
