Han's POV

Chan eventually made him put the scented cloth back with the file. He didn't let it go without some protests though. There really wasn't a way to explain why he wanted to keep it, he was simply drawn to it. It was a very nice, very calming scent with just the right amount of sweet.

Perhaps the real thing would be even better.

"Yurin's room is the closest so we will start there. You know, she's a big fan of yours! Used her earnings to go to, I don't know how many concerts. I'm sure she'd be thrilled if you chose her."

The pack all shared a look, not quite sure how to take that. Would it be odd choosing a surrogate who already knows you yet all you know is what was shared in the file?

With that calming scent gone, Han fiddled with his fingers anxiously. He was ready for pups, don't get him wrong. Still, having to choose someone to carry them, having to get to know someone outside of the pack, someone they were going to trust to carry their pups, it was a lot. He couldn't be blamed for feeling anxious around the situation.

He felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist from behind, a warm chest pressing against his back. His head turned to the side as Minho, rested his chin on his shoulder

"Doing alright, love?"

He took a deep breath, inhaling his mates scent of orchid, pink pepper, and patchouli as one of his hands came up to rest on top of Minho's hand. He relaxed in the embrace of both his mates scent and arms.

"I'm alright, just nervous to meet them. What happens if none of them like us or we don't like them?"

Minho planted a soft kiss to his cheek, pulling a wide, toothy grin from him.

"Well, then we try another facility. This isn't the only one. We may have struck out with adoption, but we still have options." Minho paused, leaning his head against his. "If we can't find the right fit here, we can try somewhere else and we don't have to settle for just anyone, alright?"

He simply nodded in response, thinking over his words. As he opened his mouth to say something else, he was quickly cut off at the sound of a high-pitched shriek.

"Oh. My. Gosh! No way! Are you kidding me?!"

This tiny little bottle blonde omega came bounding over to them, not caring for personal space, and immediately wrapped her arms around Chan. Their pack alpha immediately stiffened up, the majority of his pack quickly becoming tense as well.

"Uhh hi?"

Chan looked between the girl, the curator, and the rest of them with an expression of confusion and discomfort.

"I can't believe this is really happening! It actually worked!"

The omega was beaming up at Chan, her too sweet scent of baked goods, buttercream and raspberry quickly filling the room and overwhelming their senses. Sure, some probably enjoyed her scent, but at least for him it was too sweet, too overpowering. Aside from the scent though, there was another, more concerning matter at hand.

"What do you mean by that? What worked?"

As that question left Chan's lips, he finally managed to pry the omegas arms from him, pushing her back a little, just trying to create some space. She didn't even seem phased by it, sticking close to him, her hands moving animatedly as she spoke excitedly.

"Well, I just knew you were going to want an omega eventually, at the very least, to have pups of your own. So, I've been leaving my scent places you typically go to."

Everyone else in the room was dead silent, staring at her with mixtures of shock, disgust, and horror. Yet, she just continued on as if it was something completely normal.
