After having breakfast with Tess in our new living space I got ready for the meeting with the members of the DC that were already on campus. Putting on the uniform I made my way down to the first floor, where the meeting room for our group was.

Having arrived early, I did a small inspection of the room to make sure everything was in order. Satisfied with what I saw, I sat down and waited for the others to arrive.

The first one was Claire Bladeheart, who gave me an enthusiastic greeting, followed by Theodore Maxwell shortly after. He once again used his gravity magic to test me, but because of my asuran physique I didn't even need to use mana to reinforce myself, leaving him quite impressed as he went to sit down next to Claire.

Shortly after Feyrith Ivsaar entered the room and politely greeted us all before sitting down. With ten minutes left before the meeting was supposed to begin we waited in silence for the last three members to arrive.

About two minutes before the scheduled time, Curtis Glayder with his bond Grawder right behind him, Doradrea Oreguard and a face I didn't expect to see entered the room and sat down. Seeing her navy blue hair and ruby red eyes brought back a lot of memories of my time in Alacrya. She quickly shot me a smile that no one else seemed to notice, making me wonder if she was affected by the Archivist's spell or if this was Seris doing. I suppose I'll just have to get the answers myself later.

Now that everyone who was meant to be a part of the meeting I began. "Seeing as we are all here, I think some introductions are in order. Why don't you get us started Curtis?"

He laughed awkwardly before speaking. "Sure, why not. I am Curtis Glayder, fifth year, a light orange core augmenter with a fire affinity and this big guy over here is my bond Grawder. I look forward to working with all of you. It's nice to see you again Arthur, I hope you haven't stopped practicing or I'll end up beating you and taking your job." He finished with a smile as he taunted me.

"In your dreams. Even in a hundred years you wouldn't beat me." I responded with confidence and with a hint of playfulness that left the others wondering what our relationship was. "But we'll see about that later, so why don't we move on to the next person." I signaled for Claire to speak.

"A pleasure to meet everyone, I'm Claire Bladehaert, sixth year, dark yellow core augmenter with a fire and wind affinity. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask, I'm more than happy to oblige." She introduced herself with the same level of energy I was used to. Next was Theodore.

"Theodore Maxwell, fourth year, light orange core specialized in gravity magic. If it's a training partner you need then you can count on me." He kept his introduction shot and polite. As soon as he was done Doradrea began speaking.

"Nice to meet y'all, I'm Doradrea Oreguard, this is my first year here. I'm a dark orange core earth mage. You can count on me if physical strength is your need. I'm seeing a lot of pretty boys here, but I'll trust the director's judgment for now." She said enthusiastically.

"I am Feyrith Isvaar III, also a first year student. I specialize in water conjuring and I am currently a light orange core mage. I look forward to working with all of you throughout this year." He paused for a brief moment. "I must say it's quite an honor to be working with the disciple of elder Virion. I hope you will indulge in a sparring session later." Feyfey shot me a smile as he finished and I responded in kind and could see the surprise in most of my colleagues as they absorbed this new piece of information..

"Of course, we have a training ground just for that. It would be a waste to not use it." I said and then gestured to Caera so she would introduce herself.

"I am Caera Crestless, also a first year and solid orange core with a wind affinity. I'm excited to be able to work with all of you this year and hope we can get along." She finished with a smile that left the boys blushing a bit.

So Caera is substituting Kai, probably something Seris planned to slow down Draneeve and reduce damage to the school. I just need to figure which one of the two is a regressor, if not both. Either way I now have a point of contact with the Scythe moving forward.

"Well then, I guess it's my turn, don't get too shocked okay? I'm Arthur Leywin, technically a third year but this is my first attending Xyrus. I'm an augmenter with all four base affinities and a deviance in lightning and ice. As for my core stage, it's high silver. I will be the captain of this little group, so please feel free to rely on me if you ever need anything and don't be afraid to point out any mistakes I make." I finished with a little bow and could see the stupefied faces everyone was making. I guess that was too much of a revelation for them but it feels good not keeping that many secrets from my friends. I considered keeping my strength a secret to not get much attention, but earning recognition now will be more beneficial for my position as a Lance in the future.

After a minute or two of being stunlocked, they all started to question me about my abilities at the same time so I gestured them to stop and ask one at a time.

"Are you really a quadra elemental?" Claire was the first to ask.

"Yes,as for proof..." I made a small orb of each element around my left hand and one of lighting and another of ice on my right.

"Holy shit." Seemed to be the general reaction.

"How are you already a silver core?" Feyrith asked, trying to get some tips on how to better purify his core while the others made sure to pay attention.

"I awakened pretty early and I had a few advantages." I answered simply to everyone's frustration. "But that's enough about me. Does anyone have any questions about our position and responsibilities?"

Caera raised her hand and I nodded. "Director Goodsky told us we were meeting the members that were on campus already. I would like to know who is missing."

I was about to answer her but Curtis beat me to it. "That would be my sister. She wanted to be with us today, but our mother insisted on spending a few extra days with her before moving to the dorms."

Caera simply nodded and no one else raised their hands.

"That's good to know, I'm sure Sylvie will be happy to be working with Kathyln."

"Right, I almost forgot she was on the student council. They got along great so it puts me at ease that there is someone she is close to." Curtis commented.

"Well, if that's all for questions, how about a little tour of the building before ending this meeting?" I suggested and they all agreed, with Claire and Theodore offering to show us around the school after lunch.

"Are you sure you want to go alone?" Tess asked me, visibly worried.

"I'm sure. I don't really know who called me for this meeting."

"Alright, but you'll have to wear these robes more often, they look great on you." Tess said as she straightened the clothes Seele told me to wear tonight.

"I'll think about it. Don't wait up, I have no idea how long this will take." I teased before giving her a quick kiss and leaving our room.

"Mama is right, those white robes do look great on you. I can see why so many dragons prefer it over other colors." Sylvie commented to me as I walked through the campus.

"I still prefer darker colors, but I'll keep a few lighter ones in my closet from now on." I thought back to her.

"I guess I got my clothing preference from you then. But anyways, be careful. Regis and I will try following close behind so call us if they try anything."

"Roger that."
