"Your footwork needs a little improvement." I told Curtis as he and Caera left the sparing area of the training room. "But otherwise you were doing great."

"Was I? I felt like a practice dummy the entire time." Curtis said feeling defeated.

"The fact you lasted more than a minute is impressive, considering who Caera's teacher is." I tried consoling him.

"You know who taught her? Who is it?" He asked, his interest piqued.

"I do and that is a secret, right Caera?"

"Yep, she was very clear about keeping her identity a secret."

"Then why does Arthur know who your teacher is?"

"Because they knew each other before I started training with her." Caera explained and Curtis didn't look satisfied with the answer but dropped the subject. Though her answer isn't the truth it also is at the same time, so I won't bother thinking too much about it.

"Anyways, it's almost lunch time. How about we all eat together?" Curtis suggested more to Caera than me, unfortunately for him we had a meeting with Virion today.

"Sorry, I already made plans with Tess." I told him.

"And I need to run a few errands outside school today." Caera made up an excuse on the spot as we didn't want others to know why wouldn't be on school grounds for a portion of the day. After saying that she left to get ready for our meeting.

"Maybe next time. But before you go Arthur, mind explaining what your relationship with the student council president is?" He asked, curiosity evident behind his eyes.

"We are engaged, did I never tell you Curtis?" I said as if it wasn't such a big deal that the elven princess was engaged.

"No you didn't! Since when!?" He asked, clearly surprised and a little annoyed that I never said anything on the occasional times we hung out.

"Since we were seven, so before you and I first met."

"And you never thought to mention that to me? I thought we were friends, Arthur." He said with a fake expression of betrayal.

"It's not like the topic ever came up and I wasn't going to just drop that tidbit of information on you out of nowhere. Plus it's not even public knowledge yet, we thought it would be better to announce it after tension between humans and elves died down a little." I reasoned and Curtis thought for a bit before talking again.

"That makes sense. Now would be a good time to hold that announcement then, considering the council was formed and all. That way other students won't be bothering you or her too much." Curtis stated and he had a point, but I see no need to go out of may to stop these kids from approaching Tessia as she would just shut them down immediately or worse case scenario, Cynthia will just have to expand the nurse's office. But there was something he said that bothered me a little.

"What about students bothering me?"

"Do you have any idea how many girls will approach you just because of your looks? I bet even some guys will. And on top of that you and Sylvie are family, people will flock to you with the intention of getting close to her."

I let out a sigh. "Sometimes I forget how popular she is." I paused. "So what you're saying is that I should let people know about me and Tess for the sake of convenience."

"Pretty much. You will have a lot to deal with once classes start, so solving problems before they begin is going to be a huge help down the line."

"Makes sense, I'll have to talk with Tess about it."
