Kate held Ava's hair away from her face as the girl was experiencing the worst hangover she'd ever had. Kate was trying not to look down at her so she could keep her composure and not throw up too. Kate's hangover wasn't as bad as Ava's considering Avalon had gotten blackout drunk.

"Next time, please don't let me touch any alcohol." Avalon muttered, sitting up to flush the toilet. Kate gave her a tight lip smile and helped her off the floor.

"I tried to make you slow down. but you kept saying, 'you only turn 23 once, leave me alone' so i just did as you said." Kate shrugged, guiding Ava to the sink. She got out Ava's toothbrush and found a spare one for herself and put toothpaste on both.

Ava lazily grabbed the toothbrush from her and put water on it, then began to brush her teeth, Kate doing the same after.

They basked in the silence, only thing being heard was the water from the sink. Ava had no remembrance of what happened last night, and she didn't want to remember. she knew how she could get whenever she's drunk.

Kate, on the other hand, remembered everything. She remembered how close her and Ava were in the booth. She could still feel Ava's body on hers. and she also remembered how much she liked it.

Kate kept glancing out the corner of her eye to look at Ava's droopy tired face. the blonde couldn't help but wonder how she could still look so pretty even while suffering from a hangover.

"Look at me one more time, and i will slap you." Ava said, rinsing her mouth afterwards. Kate did the same thing.

"You're mean when you're hungover."

Ava leaned against the counter, looking up at Kate who picked at the strands of hair that were all around her face. "I'm sorry, Sunshine."

Kate chuckled at the shorter girl and pulled her close, hugging her tightly. they swung side to side. "it's okay. i guess." kate said, then she pushed Ava away and walked out of the bathroom.

Ava's eyes were squinted as she stared at the bathroom door, "i know she did not just push me..."

------------

"How you feelin'?" A voice asked from Ava's phone as the girl cut up some fruit in her kitchen. Kate was in the living room, not even paying attention.
